The Buffalo Bills have another team to thank for their playoff berth. Josh Allen and Co. ended Week 18 on a stunning note. It was a much-anticipated game between divisional rivals, the Dolphins and the Bills. The Bills surprised everyone, with many voting for the potent Dolphins’ offense. The game ended with a 21-14 Bills victory.
But during the post-game conference, he thanked another team. Which team and for what? A team far away from the playoffs came to the Bills’ rescue.

A reporter asked Allen what his feelings were entering the Dolphins game since they were already in the playoffs. They were in the playoffs, but it was unsure whether they would be seed #2 or #4. He answered, “Honestly, it was a big relief.” He thanked the Tennessee Titans and their head coach, Mike Vrabel, for defeating the Jacksonville Jaguars 28-20. “They helped today. So, got to thank those guys.”
With this victory, they secured their fourth straight division title! This win is also notable in another way. On Sunday, they became the fourth team in the league’s history to win a division title. What’s so special about that? It’s an NFL record because they did it by losing three games with five or fewer games left on the schedule.
But who will the Bills face in the Wild Card Round?

The Steelers had clinched the #7 seed in the playoffs. But it wasn’t sure who they’d be playing against in the WC round. Being from different divisions, the two teams don’t face each other that much. The last time they had locked horns during the regular season was in October 2022. In that game, the Steelers had had a humiliating defeat at the hands of the Bills. They went a crushing 3-38 against the Bills.
However, in the preseason, the Steelers won 27-15. But Pittsburgh is all set to defeat the Bills again. Safety Minkah Fitzpatrick had promised to return during the postseason. He had skipped the last game because of a knee injury. Safety Damontae Kazee will also return after being suspended by the Steelers for three weeks due to a hit he had taken during the game.
