In the recent turn of events, Stephen A. Smith came up with a ‘Pressure Theory’ and expressed why the Dallas Cowboys couldn’t handle what went down at the Highmark Stadium. After their home-away defeat against the Buffalo Bills, Smith highlighted the Cowboys’ flaws and how their defense plummeted against the raging Bills’ offense. Smith did a rather dramatic breakdown of how Jerry Jones’ team fumbled amid the stardom.

Jerry Jones’ $9 billion team has won eight NFC championships, the most in the conference’s history. They were a dominating force this season until their week 15 loss 31-10 defeat to the Bills exposed the loopholes. The Orchard Park game not only ended their 5-game winning streak but also garnered all sorts of national reactions. For instance, Cowboys Skip Bayless dumped Dak Prescott‘s jersey. Now, Stephen A. Smith poured it all out.

Smith uploaded a video on his YouTube channel sharing his views on the Cowboys after their week 15 matchup. The American radio host highlighted that pressure mounts on the Cowboys when they receive such immense attention from the fans, and they can’t handle it. He claimed that Jerry Jones’ squad is playing as “America’s team” in the billion-dollar play pin, but cannot perform under pressure.

Smith said, “The star attraction, the star on your helmet. 100,000 people packed into the stadium, the tailgate parties that probably pack another 20,000. With all of that stuff going on, people the minute the doors open stampeding over one another, just to get a seat all of that stuff’s going on. It builds expectations and they can’t handle it.

Moreover, Smith also added that the Cowboys are 9 billion as a franchise when everybody else is worth 5 billion as a franchise. And their loss against the Bills is just upsetting. He also displayed the stats and told the audience that Josh Allen only completed 7 passes, wondering what went wrong.

The Cowboys are holding a record of 7-0 for their home games and a record of 3-4 in their home-away games. Here’s the twister even though the Cowboys’ defense got run over by the Bills.

This game came as a ‘complete win’ for the Bills who indeed “let it rip” against the Cowboys. But again, the Cowboys have still managed to officially clinch a playoff spot after the Falcons and Packers lost along with the Lions on Saturday. Micah Parsons, the quarterback Dak Prescott, and coach Mike McCarthy, all seemed to figure out how to play better in the game.

Parsons also acknowledged the team’s shortcomings in a post-game conference, stating, “Honestly, it’s just unacceptable at this point. There’s no excuse for it. It’s mind-boggling…..We’ve got to get better on the road, and we’ve got to be road warriors throughout the playoffs now because of this.

The Cowboys are in the second position in the NFC East division. They are boasting ten victories and four defeats in the season so far. However, the game against the Bills should be an eye-opener for this team. The Cowboys must work on their flaws and play up their set reputation in the league. Moreover, owner Jerry Jones has been waiting for a Super Bowl championship since 1995, and the Cowboys must stay focused on achieving that.
