It would be wrong to say that the Eagles are faring well with the 2023 season ending. There wouldn’t be many questions around the team if they didn’t lose to the Arizona Cardinals in their last game. It all started when Jason Kelce expressed his concerns about the team’s offense being unable to score from the end zone, and now the problem has become much bigger than that.

The Eagles recently switched their defensive coordinators and gave Matt Patricia a chance. This change didn’t bring the result the Eagles needed because, in the last couple of games, they haven’t been able to stop teams like the Seahawks or even the Giants, who nearly beat them. Fans have started questioning the team, and Nick Sirianni took the podium to talk about the team’s turbulence.

One of the reporters asked what Sirianni was doing about these losses and his message to the team that would soon be in the playoffs. The head coach advised the team to stick to their daily routine and practice hard, amongst many things. Per him, there is no “magic” to making things right. According to Sirianni, it comes down to sticking to the team’s core values and working daily.

“There’s no magic to this like… If we knew exactly what it was these last couple of weeks, we would have done that. It’s about going to work every single day and being locked into the details of the meeting,” he said. This was Sirianni’s focus going into the playoffs and, hopefully, the Super Bowl. However, before they go anywhere, they must again play against the Giants.

The team is in shambles, and Nick Wright discussed their situation.

What’s going on with the Eagles?

There is already a lot of turmoil within the team. There was an instance where Jalen Hurts was heard questioning the team’s commitment to progress. And then there were times when AJ Brown refused to speak to the media. Not to mention that the Eagles still rely on Jake Elliott to score most of their points and run the tush-push play, which puts Jalen Hurts at risk.

Nick Wright thought that the “Eagles’ defense is cooked” and pointed out that their defense ranks amongst the bottom five in the league. Not to mention how Nick Sirianni sometimes exhibits childlike behavior and decides to switch defensive coaches this late in the season. The Eagles are not a bad team; maybe nostalgia bias has gotten the best of them.
