Under the leadership & control of Goff, the Rams advanced to the Super Bowl in the 2018-19 season. However, they suffered a loss at the hands of the New England Patriots. The 13-3 loss haunted the Rams, and they knew things needed to be changed. After the trade, in 2021, the Rams once again went to the Super Bowl.
This time, they faced off against the Cincinnati Bengals and came out victorious. Though the Rams had given away several picks for the draft, they did achieve the desired result.
Even though, the Rams have failed to achieve that success in the next two seasons. But the second Super Bowl win in the franchise’s history is worth that to the Rams. On the other hand, the Lions got a lot.

The trade gave the Lions along with QB Goff a couple of 1st round picks, two more 2nd round picks, & a couple of 3rd round picks over three years. They utilized these picks to restructure their entire unit. And the final result gave them something they had never had in their long history.
In the Super Bowl era, the Lions had never played for conference championships. They had never won two back-to-back playoff games in 38 years. The Lions achieved mind-boggling success this season. And they look even stronger for the upcoming seasons.
