QB Jalen Hurts is receiving criticism regarding his game and actions. Sources including ‘The Philadelphia Inquirer’ have grilled Jalen Hurts on his performance with the Eagles. The Eagles have lost in the knockouts again, leaving their fanbase shattered. The Philadelphia Inquirer has referred to him as a “different QB” in a rather realistic opinion print edition.

Last year’s NFC winners started the season with a banger recording 10 wins in the first 11. Jalen Hurts troubles were not hidden when the team was winning too. He made 17 TDs with 10 interceptions. The Eagles lost their way completely at the end of the season and lost 6 out of the last seven with Jalen Hurts recording just 6 TDs and getting intercepted 5 times in the process. The Philadelphia Inquirer scrutinized Hurts’ performance and his issues within the team are out in the open.

The Philadelphia Inquirer’s renowned columnist David Murphy came down hard on Jalen Hurts after his disastrous season with a franchise like the Eagles. Murphy subjugated Hurts first on his outings, “I’m not sure why Hurts has spent so much of this season flat on his feat, if not on his face.” He further pointed out the fact, “That Hurts was a different player this season. All season not just down the stretch.”

After pointing out the major issues with Hurts all season, Murphy clarified his stance on the QB, “He wasn’t the most glaring issue. But he was an issue and when the quarterback is an issue, he is, defacto, the biggest issue.” He went on to admire Hurts, “He was operating in the different universe than the 11 guys on defense.” He compared it to the embarrassing performance against the Bucs, “Hurt had one carry for 5 yards in the Eagles’ playoff loss to Tampa Bay, Baker Mayfield has 2 for 16!”

Fingers are even raised on his behavior around his team and leadership abilities lately after a dip in his form. Philadelphia Eagles Central posted on the same.

Jalen Hurts ‘Should have been a better a leader’

A team requires their leader to be active, verbal, indulging, approachable, and understanding but Philadelphia Eagles Central reported, “Jalen Hurts should have been a better leader this season and at times was described as “detached, ‘stoic’, ‘isolated’ and unapproachable”.

The post further gave an inside view, “A source on the Eagles described Jalen Hurts as a ‘good dude’ who sometimes doesn’t realize when he’s acting like a prime donna ‘expletive [j**k].” A large amount of the fanbase has criticized Hurts for the team’s early playoff exit, referring to him as the “greatest meltdown to a season in NFL history.”
