“I’m with you, Travis.” A solid vote of confidence—if not for the wild mix-up! Bachelorette Jenn Tran just found out she’s got something in common with the Chiefs’ TE Travis Kelce. Too bad it’s not the kind of connection she was hoping for!
On the 23rd of July, Jenn Tran was playing ‘How Online Are You?’ with the Betches, a video series that puts celebs’ screen time to the test. That’s when the Bachelorette star was asked this question: “Travis Kelce just learned the correct title for Alice in Wonderland. What had he been calling the story this whole time?”
Without breaking her breath, Jenn replied, “I think he probably would think that it was Alison’s son Wonderland. That makes sense, that’s cute.” Then came the real twist: when the producer revealed that Kelce had been calling it Allison Wonderland, Jenn was floored. The surprise on her face was because she had thought it to be ‘Alison’ and not ‘Alice in’. “Wait, what is it supposed to be? What did I think it was…,” she stammered.

Jenn’s no rookie when it comes to surprises. As a TV personality who’s graced both ‘The Bachelor’ and ‘The Bachelorette’, she’s seen it all. But the Betches moment? That one’s making it to the list! But she smoothly stood firm that it was an honest mistake. “Okay, fair. I could see how he [Travis] can make that confusion.”
On the New Heights podcast with his brother, Jason Kelce, Travis also noted the same difference. He said, “I found out over the summer that it’s ‘Alice in Wonderland,’ not ‘Alison Wonderland.’ I thought ‘Alison Wonderland’ was like the name.” If this isn’t a hilarious fumble, what is? Their reactions were priceless, with both the TV star and the player missing the title of one of the most famous children’s books.
Talking about a touchdown for comedy, this is not the only time a ‘surprising’ admission from the KC TE has come to light.

Travis Kelce doesn’t give a f**k!
One thing’s for sure: Travis Kelce isn’t a bookworm. When it comes to books, Trav’s library is more of a touchdown dance than a playbook. On the New Heights podcast with his brother Jason Kelce on October 25th 2023, Travis admitted his bookshelf is mostly for show. “You guys know I can’t read,” he joked. Well, not exactly a joke per se, but a light-hearted admission that he does not enjoy reading.

It all kicked off during the podcast’s No Dumb Questions segment, where they tackle fans’ comments. Jason asked, “What do we got back there, Trav?” Amid laughter, Travis claimed he had ‘The Odyssey’ on his shelf. Aiming to outplay him, Jason asked if he knew the main character of the book. Well, true to his word, Trav did admit he ‘can’t read’. But him mixing up between the author Homer and the main character, the Greek King, Odysseus, was hilarious nonetheless.

As they scrimmaged through more titles, Jason pointed out Mark Manson’s ‘The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F**k’. The former Eagles’ Center started telling Travis about how great the book is. But the younger Kelce brother, always ready for a comeback, declared, “I’ve got the syndrome, dude; it’s a full-on syndrome of not giving a f**k.” Who needs Manson’s book when you’ve already mastered the art? Touchdown, Travis!
Reflecting on this almost a year later, it seems life has come full circle for Travis with this Alice in Wonderland moment. And he’s not ready to settle with just one such moment. He is definitely aiming to repeat the Super Bowl LVIII triumph next year to complete the 3-peat.
