History says the first Thanksgiving occurred when Native America’s Wampanoags and England’s Plymouth colonists shared a harvest feast in the autumn of 1621. But Aaron Rodgers has a “tad bit” different reason to embrace the day approaching the fourth decade of his life.

Each return to The Pat McAfee Show unveils a previously unknown aspect of the QB. The discussions are mostly stories of his Achilles’ recovery. But this time, Rodgers shared the experiences in his journey of life, changes in approaching it, and reflection on himself.

The significance of Thanksgiving for Aaron Rodgers

Joining in Wednesday’s episode of the show, the 4x NFL MVP had a critical question to answer. Rodgers has barely got a chance to play this year, as the season started with an injury that forced him out for the rest of the year. Being 39, he also stands a few days away from entering the fourth decade of his life. Co-host Ty Smith asked Rodgers if the extended free time, days away from football, and approaching his 40th birthday changed his perception of life and if he has been reflecting on things lately. In reply, Rodgers had a quite thought-provoking speech.

“Maybe this is my own personal I guess, but I think we all get a little bit… making a generalization but we all get a little more Collective the older we get,” Rodgers said, hinting that he was, indeed, reflecting on things. “Life seems to pass maybe just a tad bit quicker and it’s good to kind of stop and count your blessings around this time. You know that’s why it’s called Thanksgiving,” Rodgers related the day with the gifts of a person’s life that come as blessings.

The QB himself, however, couldn’t have been the blessing he intended to become for the Jets. Social media even branded him a primary reason behind the Jets’ abysmal season.

Will Aaron Rodgers be able to change the perception of Jets fans?

Recently, an X account found an uncanny pattern among the entities Rodgers brought into the Jets. These included five names from his ex-franchise Green Bay Packers alone and one player who joined the side under his influence. The typical pattern among them is that they have failed their tasks miserably this season, and some are even among the worst in their positions in the entire league.

So far, the Super Bowl XLV champ has harmed his new franchise. At least, that’s what the netizens think, as some have turned their backs on him. But for a 39-year-old defying medical science to recover from a torn Achilles in record time, proving the community wrong likely wouldn’t be a big deal. Once he gets match fit, prepare for some jaw-dropping moments.

And as the speculations and hinting from Rodgers himself suggest, that day is closer than we think.
