A show is nothing without a little bit of humor in it, and “College GameDay” analyst Pat McAfee is doing it really well. He had the moment of the morning broadcast in Norman, Oklahoma, making fun of Peyton Manning ahead of the Tennessee-Oklahoma showdown. Manning, in his role as the legendary quarterback of the Volunteers, was in attendance in Oklahoma, where many posters were on display.
One of those signs especially drew McAfee’s attention. It had an extreme picture of the face of Manning, with an unusually large forehead, and the words “Got Heisman.” McAfee couldn’t resist a comment saying, “Wow that’s rude, that’s rude, that’s rude, that is to proportion.” making fun of his former Indianapolis Colts teammate in the process.

At Tennessee, Peyton Manning was no less than elite while putting up solid numbers over the four seasons he played. He reached an 11,201-yard passing, 89 touchdowns, with a 147.1 passer rating, on an average of 248.9 yards per game, despite not getting the Heisman Trophy.
Of course, the cool thing is that McAfee and Manning are working with ESPN: McAfee hosts his own show, “The Pat McAfee Show,” and does a weekly analyst stint on “College GameDay,” while Manning co-hosts the ManningCast for Monday Night Football with his brother Eli. It just goes to show that one will never stray too far from football.
But where did all of that start? While the Heisman Trophy part is well known, what is the reference to Manning’s forehead?
