The Broncos are moving in the direction of a miracle. After a record-setting disastrous start to the season, they have found their feet with 5 repeated wins. So much so that they are being considered among the favorites to make the playoffs. Amidst the soaring high expectations, they face the Houston Texans in their upcoming clash.
The Texans haven’t had the most extraordinary run so far. But their season will be remembered for arguably one of the greatest rookie QB performers in the league’s history, CJ Stroud. For now, comparing the latest injury reports from both sides, however, may prevent Stroud from ending the unstoppable Broncos train.

Both teams have released their IR before the game, and we already may have a favorite on paper, it’s the Russell Wilson-led Broncos. They have shared a sneak into their team shape, and it gets as good as ever with players recovering at a great speed. CB Damarri Mathis is questionable with a back injury, and after participating in limited practice on Thursday, he stayed out completely on Friday.

Things aren’t so smooth at their opponent’s end although. The Texans already missed two players on Friday’s practice, WR Noah brown with a knee injury and TE Dalton Schultz with a hamstring injury.
Additionally, WR Tank Dell and DT Sheldon Rankins remain questionable too, despite taking part in limited practice on Friday. LB Jake Hansen also remains questionable with both a hamstring and a hand injury.

The Texans are already missing a significant amount of their squad strength vs the Broncos. In a game where CJ Stroud would have needed a combined effort to pull out an upset, he is already missing the firepower even before the match has begun. But can he do it, nonetheless?
Can CJ Stroud handle the Wilson-led Denver Broncos?
The rookie QB is not only the frontrunner for the prestigious Offensive Rookie of The Year award, but he is also nearly the best quarterback in the league overall. With 3266 yards, 249-391, 19 touchdowns, and an average 100.8 passer rating, there’s no other QB in the league nearly as good as the 22-year-old except Commanders‘ Sam Howell.

Interestingly, Howell is the league’s most intercepted QB with 13 and Stroud is the least among the top 30 with only 5 interceptions. However, for Stroud, Things may not be easy against the mentality monster Broncos who have defied all odds. Russell Wilson is embodying his ‘Mr. Comeback’ nickname every other day as even the defending champion Chiefs took their worst humiliation in the season from the Orange Crush.
So, on paper, the Texans aren’t destined to win the game even in far-fetched fantasies. And their 3-6 historical record against the Broncos doesn’t do them any favor either. But then again, young sensation Stroud is a man on a mission. If anyone could shock the Wilson army and do the unthinkable, it’s probably Stroud. But how much of our expectations will come true in the end? That will be revealed on Sunday, December 3.
