Andy Reid‘s Chiefs are only three games away from the three-peat. But they are going to face a dangerous opponent in the divisional round- the Houston Texans. The scariest part in this is that in elimination rounds, the Chiefs’ 15-2 regular season record has no real sense in the playoffs. But…Andy Reid is the star of the playoffs, he knows how to get things done in climax mode. But as they march towards the Arrowhead Stadium, DeMeco Ryans‘ Texans have a piece of bad news.
The reports are coming up regarding the Houston Texans and fans are shocked to see the never-ending list of key players and their injury reports. The linebacker Azeer Al-Shaair (knee) has been categorized into the ‘did not play’ section and was considered as ‘limited practice’. It’s one of the saddest news for the Texans but… according to insider Aaron Wilson, Azeer Al-Shaair is expected to play in the divisional round.

Another player, whose injury can be a headache for the upcoming game, Robert Woods has been again categorized in the DNP for two consecutive practice sessions. He had a hip injury and is not expected to play against the Chiefs. He suffered the injury during a week 17 matchup against the Titans. Other than him, Shaq Mason was also a DNP player for Tuesday’s practice session but has done a limited practice on Wednesday per reports. He has not played a single game after facing injury (MCL) vs the Chiefs.
Other key players who logged a limited practice Wednesday include Juice Scruggs. He had faced an ankle injury. A good thing, since he was reported as DNP in the previous practice session but has not yet made a complete recovery. Besides Scruggs, defensive tackle Denico Autry has also done limited practice and continued to be on the sideline. Dalton Schultz, a star tight end, was also marked limited practice for back-to-back two sessions. He has injured his shoulder and per reports, since Schultz wants to play in the divisional game on Saturday, he should be involved in a full practice on Thursday.
These players are the backbone of the Houston Texans. And their presence only on the sideline will not have any impact on the most crucial game. The Texans lost in the divisional round in the 2023 season against the Ravens (10-34). So this time DeMeco Ryans desperately wants to register a victory. But his opponents have a terrific playoff record. Andy Reid has a record of giving results in the most difficult times. In this important period, the Chiefs’ injury report is exciting.
Updated injury report of Andy Reid’s Chiefs
There were 11 Kansas City Chiefs players reported as injured and limited practice. But guess what? 10 out of those 11 players were removed from limited practice and were full participants on Wednesday. Bang on! Andy Reid’s team is in the best shape possible, without a doubt. The list of players includes quarterback Patrick Mahomes who had suffered a high ankle sprain. He was FP for Tuesday and Wednesday sessions.
