The 2024 NFL Draft is still a month away. And the trades in the NFL world keep shifting the draft order. However, when the 25th of April rolls around in Detroit, the Tennesse Titans are poised to succeed with their current standings. After the trade of CB L’Jarius Sneed to the Titans from the Kansas City Chiefs, the picks have changed for the Titans. Despite that, they have gained a powerful and agile CB, capable of leadership in the backline. But what do the picks for the Titans look like?

Since the Titans didn’t perform well in last year’s regular season, they have an early pick in round one. However, through trades and deals going back and forth, they have gained additional spots and lost some. So let us take a look at the draft picks that the Titans possess!

Round 1, Pick 7

Round 2, Pick 38

Round 4, Pick 106

Round 5, Pick 146 (from the Minnesota Vikings)

Round 6, Pick 182

Round 7, Pick 221 (from the Carolina Panthers)

Round 7, Pick 242 (from the Philadelphia Eagles)

Round 7, Pick 252 (from the Kansas City Chiefs)

Apart from round 3, the Titans have picks in each round. In total the Titans have 8 picks for the upcoming NFL Draft, four of these are their own and four they have gained via trades. The latest is the round 7 pick they got for Sneed. In connection to the compensatory picks, the Titans haven’t received any for the 2024 draft. Alas, the question remains about how will the Titans manage these draft expectations with the changes that have been happening within the camp.

The Tennessee Titans have embarked on a new path

Under the leadership of former head coach Mike Vrabel, the Titans saw unprecedented success. They won their AFC South division three years in a row. Unfortunately, this was followed by some tough times for the side. For the last two seasons, they finished at the bottom of the pile.

Hence, Vrabel was let go by the team management and the 39-year-old Brian Callahan has been chosen as the heir. Callahan has been entrusted with the job of rebuilding the Titans, not only through trades, and free agency signings but also via draft picks. However, there remains a great burden of praise on the shoulders of the new addition to the Titans’ management.

“We knew his background and his extensive experience,” Titans controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk revealed about Callahan. “We saw the list of quarterbacks he’s worked with and elite offenses he’s been a part of.” This indicated the mindset of the management and the team to set new expectations this year and allow themselves to put forth a better performance while acquiring great assets through the draft.
