CEO of the Kansas City Chiefs, Clark Hunt, has welcomed the sudden influx of attention the Swifties garnered towards the team. Ahead of the much-awaited Super Bowl, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift‘s relationship has amassed a new fanbase for the Chiefs, which has secured Hunt’s approval for the couple.
Along with Hunt, his daughter, Gracie, is also very pleased with the stir Swift’s constant support for her boyfriend’s team has created. However, the singer’s attendance in Kansas City’s first match of the Super Bowl remains uncertain, as the match is just a day after Swift’s Tokyo concert of the Eras tour.

In conversation with Fox News Digital, Clark Hunt expressed his surprise and excitement on having a completely unprecedented fanbase supporting his team: young Swiftie girls! He feels that Kansas City’s tight end’s relationship with Taylor Swift has got many young girls and their families watching the NFL and supporting the Chiefs.
“It’s been fun to watch her and Travis’ relationship develop. We’re so happy for the two of them, and as a result, we do have a whole bunch of new fans, and that’s been fantastic. Not only here in North America, but really across the globe.”
Hunt feels that the young fans have started following the NFL just because Taylor Swift has been spotted in the stands supporting Kelce. He expressed his support for the couple, and his wife, Tavia, and eldest daughter, Gracie Hunt supported this notion.
During an interview with The New York Post, Gracie Hunt revealed that she had always been a fan of Taylor Swift and that “it’s been beyond exciting to have her attend games and watch her joy and fun cheering on Travis and the Chiefs, the team that I’ve grown up loving and cheering for my whole life.”
Taylor Swift to attend the Super Bowl
The Super Bowl rematch between the Chiefs and the 49ers, is scheduled just a day after Swift’s performance in Tokyo. Her attendance at the match is confirmed, deapite the short interval between the two events. Swift will have to hop on a 12-hour flight to get to Las Vegas before the Super Bowl commences at 6:30 p.m. ET.
Taylor Swift is currently on her fourth Eras tour, with her next performance scheduled on 16th February in Australia. Gracie Hunt hoped that Swift makes it to the match and her wish was granted. She said, “I know she has a very arduous journey coming from her concert that she performs right before the Super Bowl, I certainly do hope that our paths will cross,” to the New York Post.

Even the host of the NFL Honors, Keegan-Michael Key, used the speculations surrounding Taylor Swift’s attendance to crack a joke at the lowest-performing team of the NFL, the Carolina Panthers. He commented, “Taylor Swift is in Tokyo right now. The only thing farther from the Super Bowl is the Carolina Panthers.”

Whether Taylor Swift will be the ‘lucky charm’ for the Chiefs or not, only time can tell. Till then, the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers are gearing up for their opening match on February 11th.
