The pressure was as huge as it could get. But Patrick Mahomes hasn’t achieved all this by being a faint-hearted guy. His faith in his abilities is immense, and he trusts his teammates. On Saturday, January 18, it took a little extra for the QB to score that falling TD. At the 11:52 mark in the 3rd quarter, he rushed past the Texans’ defense, moving to the front of the pocket, and made a falling pass to Travis Kelce, who was already standing in the end zone. That was a masterclass by the besties.

The Arrowhead lit up, with fans jumping in excitement, but the cameras caught the most high profile (probably) fan in the stadium, billionaire Grammy winner Taylor Swift. She was with her friend and WNBA player, Caitlyn Clark, and Papa Kelce as they congratulated each other for the TE’s achievement. Overall, it was a good day as the Chiefs won 23-14 and moved into the AFC Championship round.

Dressed in Chanel’s cruise 2024/2025 runway look, she amazed everyone with $22,000+ outfit. A black-and-white tweed jacket ($9,600) and a black quarter-zip romper ($4,650) stole the show. Styling it with a strand belt ($2,250), and pendant earrings ($1,150) also looked pretty on the popstar. Whenever her BF did something amazing on the field, she would turn around to her WNBA friend and hug her or laugh with her.

What Travis Kelce said before the game made sense on Saturday. He requested his teammates to playoff the people who trusted them to win the Super Bowl. And by leading his team in the pressure moments, he kept the 3-peat hopes alive. Dancing a little after catching that TD throw also made fans go crazy.

In the divisional game, the TE broke many records. Playing in his 10th playoff season, he has been through all the situations. It was the same story at Arrowhead.

Patrick Mahomes, Andy Reid, and the entire locker room were never fazed about TE’s form. They believed he would peak at the right time. And that’s what happened. The Grim Reaper was so excited that he said, “Everybody was asking where’s Travis Kelce at and I think he showed the world where he’s at.” With 7 receptions in 117 receiving yards and 1 TD, he almost decimated the Texans single-handedly.

The 2025 divisional game was his 14th consecutive playoff game in which he recorded 70+ passing yards. WR Antonio Brown is at 2nd with 7 such games for the Steelers. But Travis Kelce didn’t stop at that. He surpassed Jerry Rice’s record of 8 playoff games with 100+ receiving yards. With 9 games, it’s another first of the things.

However, they kept the best for the last. Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce connected on Saturday for their 17th playoff TD. They were already better than Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski with 15 TDs. Just increased the gap. The TE would like to break the most playoff TDs record of Jerry Rice (22) and postseason receiving yards (2,245). He stands at 19 TDs and 2,020 yards. The excitement is only going to increase.
