In a wild twist, the Jacksonville Jaguars have locked in their new head coach, and honestly, this might be the biggest drama of the season. Liam Coen, the Bucs’ offensive coordinator -well, former OC now -just flipped the script on everyone. Forget the conference championships; now, it’s all about Coen making headlines. Here’s the scoop: Coen was stuck in a tug-of-war between sticking with the Buccaneers and jumping ship to the Jaguars, who were eyeing him for the HC role. Just yesterday, he reportedly agreed to stay with the Bucs. But guess what? (Drumroll please) Coen’s now officially signed on as the Jags’ new head coach.

Can we just say ‘Et tu, Liam?’ Because this phrase fits perfectly here. And after this ‘Brutus’ move by Liam Coen, Tampa Bay media is losing it with some hilarious reactions. The Bucs media didn’t hold back with their brilliantly creative response to Coen’s abrupt exit. They dropped a parody video featuring exaggerated ‘before and after’ reactions from the hosts. The ‘before’ segment hilariously satirizes the hype and optimism around Coen, while the ‘after’ dives into an over-the-top meltdown.

But oh, those ‘after Coen’s exit’ comments! “For those of you who’ve been living under a rock, the news is that Liam Cohen is with the Jacksonville Jaguars right now, trying to hammer out a deal to make him the next head coach of that team. And you know what? F**k that guy,” said one of the hosts. And folks you will love the details. One of the hosts even went all out and wore a two-headed snake around his neck during the ‘after Coen’s exit’ reactions.

According to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times, Liam Cohen secretly traveled to Jacksonville last night. Did not return a call. The Bucs were trying to call him. They’ve been trying to call him since yesterday afternoon. Nothing crickets. That guy’s made of something different,” said another host.

Honestly, whoever wrote this hilarious script deserves a raise. They deserve more than what the Bucs offered Liam and probably even more than what the Jaguars offered, which made Coen pull the ultimate backstab on his former team.

Here’s the full picture: After firing head coach Doug Pederson, the Jaguars were in search of a new HC. Team owner Shahid Khan had his eye on Liam Coen for the job. As soon as the Bucs caught wind of Khan’s intentions, they offered a huge deal to their offensive coordinator, a deal that would’ve made Coen the highest-paid coordinator in the league, along with a multi-year contract extension. You’d think the deal was closed, right? But then, Shahid Khan said, “I’ll make him an offer he can’t refuse.” And that’s when Tampa Bay lost the deal.

According to some reports, Coen initially agreed to stay with the Bucs. The Jaguars wanted Liam so badly that they even parted ways with their general manager, Trent Baalke. The word is, that a lot of coaches weren’t too keen on working with Baalke, including the new head coach. So, after firing him, Mr. Khan reached out to Coen again, asking if he’d reconsider their offer. And well, the rest is history -it’s all in the papers now.

And then after ghosting the Bucs for two days, the cat’s finally out of the bag. Liam’s move is now the talk of the town, and his ugly ‘breakup’ is right in front of the whole world. Word is that Coen has told his (ex) team he’s calling it quits and heading to the Jaguars. Multiple sources are suggesting the 39-year-old will make an official announcement on Friday. As for Tampa Bay, sadly, they’ll have to move on from Liam now and find someone new to work with Baker Mayfield and the O-line. This betrayal move has left Tampa Bay angry, but what choice do they have?
