Brock Purdy is on a whole new level of fame right now. After the 49ers beat the Philadelphia Eagles and embarrassed them at their own home, Purdy is headed to break the legend Joe Montana’s record. The 49ers are now 9-3 and are being taken as one of the best teams in the NFL after the Eagles bout.

Senior NFL reporter Jori Epstein recently tweeted some stats that shed light on what Brock Purdy can be if he keeps playing the way he does. Until now, the whole “system QB” label had a negative connotation. However, the label has a nice ring to it. Purdy is repeating a pattern that might just lead him to be one of the best quarterbacks in the league to date.

In the last six games, the 49ers QB1 could complete at least 70% of the passes he made. If he continues down the same path and comes up with more than 70% completed passes in next week’s game, he will become the fourth QB in NFL history to have completed 70% of his passes in seven consecutive games. The Hall of Famer Joe Montana has a streak of eight such games, which makes him the leading player on this list. Montana has held the record since 1989.

This is followed by Drew Brees’ (Saints) record of similar stats in seven consecutive games in 2016, followed by Sam Bradford (Vikings), who has the same record. The 49ers are going against the Seattle Seahawks, and chances are, they will blow out the Seattle team, just like they did Philly. The conversation about Purdy being a system QB might soon turn into him being an MVP candidate.

The 49ers recently played the Seahawks in their home and completely obliterated them. Purdy came out with 70% completed passes in the game.

The San Francisco team is on a four-game winning streak and the next game might also be in their pocket as they will put up a show at their home, the Levi’s Stadium. Purdy has passed for 3,185 yards this season and has 23 touchdowns this year. If he keeps it up for two more games, he will find a place beside Joe Montana.

He already has earned a spot beside the likes of TB12 and Peyton Manning after he helped the 49ers win over 10 games straight in the regular season, including last season’s games.
