The Lions have clinched the NFC North title for the first time in history. They got the better of division rival Vikings to seal a playoff spot and doubled the glory with a maiden division championship. Amid the joyful congratulations from the fans, one celebrity fan suddenly popped up.

It’s Lions Superfan and a native of Michigan, rapper Eminem. He initially congratulated the side over a tweet but made a blunder there. Fearing Gen Z, Eminem quickly corrected his mistake to celebrate the occasion. With the Slim Shady cheering for them, this historic Lions season just got better!

Eminem is a devoted Lions fan, and this isn’t his first time celebrating their victory. But this particular occasion is special for every Lions fan, as they won their maiden championship since the creation of the NFC North. The away side held onto their nerves to defend the late resurgence from the purple and golds, eventually pretty much throwing them out of the season. Exited with the Vikings’ outcome, the rapper quickly tweeted a celebratory message “@Lions I did it!!!!!”, tagging the official Lions X account.

But he realized his mistake almost immediately. Before the netizens could bring in his contributions to the achievement, he corrected it with a “WE did it”, citing he was still figuring out how to use X.

However, this isn’t the first time he celebrated the team’s victory. With the record-setting feat in hands, this won’t be the last time either if the Lions could clinch a Super Bowl spot.

Eminem embracing the Lions’ record-setting season

The rapper earlier celebrated the team’s Week 11 comeback win over the Bears with a tweet. The Lions climbed up a 12-point deficit with 4 minutes to play in the 4th quarter, and David Montgomery’s touchdown with half a minute remaining on the clock sealed the deal. Excited Eminem went completely fanboy mode as he posted a tweet containing 19 exclamation marks!

And we can only imagine his reaction got wilder as the Lions brought a smooth end to the regular season that began with a win over the defending champion Chiefs. Since the creation of NFC North in 2002, the Michigan side has been the only team to not win the division title. Their last win came 30 years ago in 1993, when they were still part of the NFC Central.
