A common ground at Super Bowl luncheon
Last weekend, Eli Manning presented a rap diss against the seven-time Super Bowl champion, Tom Brady. “I’m Eli Manning, I’m nice / Tom Brady is the GOAT / Psych! I beat him twice,” he had said. Brady himself had thrown similar shade previously. “Do I think the NFL is scripted? You think I would really have played along with a script that had me losing to Peyton’s little brother Eli twice in the Super Bowl?” he had said.

However, at Michael Rubin’s luncheon, all was clear in the rival scenes as the two were photographed in a friendly conversation. The next pair on the list was San Francisco 49ers CEO Jed York and Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt. The two who stand to go against each other for a second time on February 11 were reported in an equally friendly mingling. Page Six reports that they were even heard saying, “We’re friends!” With that in place, the anticipation turns to Sunday’s showdown between the 49ers and the Chiefs.
