The Allegiant Stadium will be hosting this year’s Super Bowl. And the newly minted stadium is filled to the brim with tech innovations. The ‘Death Star’ which opened in 2020, is a marvel of modern architecture and engineering.
It features a retractable roof, a transparent dome, and an 85-foot-tall torch that honors the late Al Davis, the former owner of the Las Vegas Raiders. The stadium also boasts a cutting-edge sound system, a high-performance lighting system, and a sophisticated security system.
The home of the Raiders is also equipped with state-of-the-art technology of 5G wireless connectivity. Along with a 27,600-square-foot video board and a distributed antenna system that ensures seamless communication for the coaching staff. However, the technology is not limited to players and fans within the stadium only. As those of us at our homes or bars will also enjoy the innovations.
A broadcasting marvel in the making
CBS is breaking the bank to bring the best experience to the viewers for the Super Bowl. The stadium will be equipped with a whopping 165 cameras, including 24 cameras capable of 4K zooming. 24 robotic cameras will also be at CBS’ disposal.

Along with 23 augmented reality cameras and for the first time 6 ‘doink’ cameras. These will be installed within the goalposts. The viewers will also catch the action with the help of 3 drone cameras and 5 fly cameras.
