Andy Reid has a message for those who consider the Chiefs’ new love story a “distraction.” Since Taylor Swift joined the NFL scene in September, many have been criticizing and labeling her a “distraction” to Travis Kelce and the entire NFL sphere. However, the Kansas City Chiefs coach has finally broken his silence on the allegations, revealing a shocking update on Swift.
Andy Reid is currently a happy coach. Boasting three Super Bowl wins, he is now on the road to clinch another. He and his team, untidily, cleaned up the strong Ravens with a score of 17-10 to punch a ticket for the Super Bowl. But ahead of the game, Reid appeared in a podcast to share his views on Swift’s impact on the team’s performance, and to provide information on their ‘years’ connection.

Andy Reid knew Taylor Swift before Travis Kelce?
Andy Reid recently appeared in the Week 22 episode of “Let’s Go” podcast with Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald, and Jim Gary. Responding to the Chiefs’ newfound fan base due to Taylor Swift, and the alleged rumors of “distraction” because of her. Reid expressed that it has been an exciting experience when he met Swift. He praised Swift, calling her a “great” girl, and revealed the past story, mentioning that he knows Swift from Philadelphia, where her father, Scott Swift, was a football fan who played at the University of Delaware. Reid called her dad a “good guy,” and told that he “had met him there and her.”

Reid also admitted that after listening to this story, Swift’s boyfriend & Chiefs’ TE, Travis Kelce, wasn’t too pleased, as he wanted to be the first Chiefs’ member to meet her. Reid said, “So that was the last thing Trav wanted to hear, that I knew her before him. She told him, ‘I know your coach.’ And he went, ‘Oh, God, come on!” The 65-year-old continued, “She’s a good girl. And I’m happy for Trav. And there has been no distraction that way at all. Trav’s handled it right, she’s handled it right and we just move forward. So it hasn’t been a problem at all.”
Therefore, as per the Chiefs HC, Taylor Swift isn’t creating any distraction to their game, and that’s evident too in their recent back-to-back wins, and Kelce’s spectacular performances.
Travis Kelce’s ‘Superman’ catch helped the Chiefs in the game!
In the last matchup against the Ravens, Travis Kelce had an outstanding game, making 11 catches, for 116 yards, and scoring a touchdown. Even in challenging situations, Kelce managed to turn them into successes. For example, during a crucial third down in the early second quarter, Patrick Mahomes faced pressure from Ravens’ defenders.
