Who will sing the national anthem? A song that fills the heart of every American with pride and patriotic fervor. Reba McEntire, who’s a country music star, has been given that honor. With less than a month left for the SB, Adam Schefter shared the names on X. And yes, we spotted Post Malone on the list as well. He will be singing, “America the Beautiful”.

That’s not all. Andra Day will enthrall the audience with her performance of “Lift Every Voice and Sing”. Actor Daniel Durant has been selected to perform the national anthem in sign language. As for the two other songs, Anjel Piñero will sign “America the Beautiful” and “Lift Every Voice and Sing” will be signed by Shaheem Sanchez. The NFL is taking everyone along!
While the sentiment is mostly positive when it comes to this lineup, it wasn’t for someone else. When Usher was announced as the halftime show performer, many were not pleased.
Usher trumps Taylor Swift for halftime show
It was not just Swifties who were rooting for Taylor Swift. Even other football fans wanted her to perform at halftime. Ever since her romance with the Chiefs TE Travis Kelce started, she has been on everyone’s minds. But alas, Usher stole the show. The NFL announced that the eight-time Grammy winner will get to perform in front of the Las Vegas audience.

Some even said that Usher was a “downgrade from Rihanna”. And many thought Swift would have made the Super Bowl even more popular. Her 100 million-plus fans would also tune in to watch their idol perform. That definitely would have fired the ratings to another level altogether. However, Swift is at the peak of her career and she has many more years to go. Swifties are hopeful that her chance will come pretty soon.
