This is going to be the most expensive Super Bowl in the history of the NFL as far as ticket prices are concerned. Suddenly, it feels like Taylor Swift’s association with the sport has brought in a huge influx of fans and created a high price-high demand situation in no time. Ahead of the game at the Allegiant Stadium, the NFL is open for anyone to purchase tickets, as long as people can afford them.

The Super Bowl is one of the biggest sporting events around the world and some people, wealthy enough will give whatever they can to get a chance to grab their spot. Do you know that the ticket prices are going as high as $60k? Well, for some of us, it would be better to just stream the event. However, for those who want to be physically a part of it, here is a comparison of the ticket prices so far.

The San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs will be battling it out nearly 2 weeks from now. The most expensive ticket on Ticketmaster is somewhere about $60,000! Talk about selling an arm and a leg or going into debt to watch a football game. These extravagant prices are for the best seats in the house of course. The average price of these tickets is somewhere around $7k to $10k depending on the seats, as reported by NBC and other sources.

The average price for a Super Bowl ticket last year was somewhere around $6k in ballpark figures. These exorbitant prices are due to the location of the game. Las Vegas is a mecca of entertainment and the NFL decided to capitalize on the opportunity.

“Location has always impacted demand for a Super Bowl, but Vegas takes things to a whole other level,” said the co-CEO of Tick Pick to AP and added, “It’s already the entertainment capital of the world, and could very well become the sports capital of the world after the Super Bowl.”

People who think that the ticket prices will go down might have to wait 1 more year to finally book a ticket, because, by the looks of it, the resellers are not going to pass on the opportunity to exploit the sales.
