Good leadership and hard work are what got the Kansas City Chiefs to another Super Bowl. We know Patrick Mahomes inspires the team and instills confidence in them to win, no matter the odds. The Chiefs have had a couple of shaky games at the end of the regular season, but gradually returned to their original selves in the playoffs. It takes hard work and dedication to get there, and the Chiefs have plenty of it.
For a while now, Travis Kelce had been slacking as well, but by the looks of it, the Chiefs TE is back in his best form. Ahead of the Super Bowl LVIII, coach Andy Reid decided to address the media about the usual pre-game stuff and briefly touched upon the mindset of the team going into the Super Bowl again. Thanks to Mahomes’ game-managing skills, he and Kelce were able to make history in a couple of instances at the playoff games. That’s not coincidental.

At some point in the conference, Coach Reid was asked about the key to judging the team’s “mental fortitude” and their zeal to work hard and “do the right things in the system”. There were a couple of key things that the Chiefs relied on, per Andy Reid. Firstly, it was the leadership, not only on the field but also in the locker room. Mahomes never fails to say the right words to his teammates to get them in a winning mindset.
“You’re not gonna dog it with Pat Mahomes going full speed, Kelce going full speed. I mean you’re just not, they’re not gonna allow you to do that, first of all. And then you watch them, and you watch how they practice, and you know it’s not a fit if you can’t do that. And then you know Brett’s not gonna bring in guys that you know dog” said Reid of Mahomes and Kelce.
It’s safe to say that Mahomes and his receiver Kelce have set up a winning culture in the Chiefs that might just give them the status of a once glorious Patriots dynasty. They are well on their way.

The playoffs started and the Chiefs quarterback and his receiver were set on their way to break a couple of records. They broke the NFL record of a QB and his receiver with the most touchdowns in a single playoff game (2). Then Kelce broke the legend Jerry Rice’s record of most catches in a playoff game against the Ravens when he was 11 for 11.
The Chiefs duo hasn’t left any stone unturned as far as being prepared for the playoffs is concerned. However, going into the playoffs, some concerns are looming around the team as their roster has taken a heavy hit, and a lot of the Chiefs are injured. Names like Chris Jones, Isiah Pacheco, and Charles Omenihu are some noteworthy names on the injury list.

The Chiefs still have about 10 more days to recover from their injuries. Hopefully, they make it healthy in the Super Bowl.
