Injuries are an unavoidable part of professional sports. This is the sole reason competent teams have a deep roster. The Chiefs are competing to become the 9th-ever team to become back-to-back Super Bowl champions. But on this monumental quest, they are mired with injury issues. Even though the Chiefs did not practice this Wednesday, they released an injury report.
Several players would have not been able to attend the practice or would have been limited to limited practice, had the Chiefs held a practice session. And even though some of them are part squad members, there are a couple of important ones as well.
DT Chris Jones, who has been the backbone of the Chiefs’ defense for years, is in the no-practice category. Along with star RB Isiah Pacheco. But the good news for the Chiefs is that WR Kadarius Toney would’ve attended the full session. Even though the 49ers do not face such dire situations, their sole injury could hurt them in the Super Bowl.
The 49ers need to be at their best for the Super Bowl
The 49ers are looking for revenge for the Super Bowl LIV. A game they lost against the Chiefs in the last quarter, by 20-31. And even though, the 49ers’ prospects are looking better than that of the Chiefs. They still have an issue to iron out.
