Is Caleb Williams the real problem for the Bears, or is he just a convenient scapegoat?

The Chicago Bears have fallen short of expectations. And on top of that, Caleb Williams is being blamed by the fans for the team’s poor performance. Everyone believes that the team does not go in a single direction because the quarterback does not do his work properly. And as a result, the QB is receiving a reality check from notable NFL figures.

He has been the subject of remarks made by another former player and Super Bowl champion. This particular legend is none other than AQ Shipley, who was recently at the Pat McAfee show. Shipley made it apparent that the quarterback must take full responsibility for the offensive role.

Per Shipley, the game is not much affected by the coordinator, and Caleb Williams was the one who ought to have taken action. Shipley stated, “Whenever you hear four seconds, that’s on the Quarterback… You can’t expect your offensive line to hold up for that long and that ball has to get out”

The biggest difficulty with Williams is that he keeps the ball for lengthier periods of time. A quarterback should have the ball for no more than 2-3 seconds before throwing it. If the quarterback fails to do so, a defensive player will have a strong chance to tackle him. Caleb Williams is unable to toss the ball in time and holds onto it for at least 4-5 seconds.

Although it does seem strange that he is holding the ball for only one or two more seconds. However, simply watching the game reveals that these two seconds have cost the Bears several times. This is a major issue for the quarterback, in addition to the offensive coordinator dispute. But what exactly is the source of the OC controversy?

Shane Waldron’s termination may be linked to Caleb Williams

This may sound strange, but there is a strong probability that the news is real. Some of you may be unaware that the Bears’ decision to fire Shane Waldron has something to do with the quarterback. However, AQ Shipley also commented on the topic while expressing the above statement. According to the former player, the OC has no obligation to address the Bears’ offensive shortcomings. Caleb Williams’ prolonged possession of the ball significantly disrupts the team’s offense. Perhaps the man can be swift, as everyone knows his tremendous potential can help the Bears become a major contender in the NFL.

How do you feel about Caleb Williams? Do you believe the man will make a competent quarterback in the future?
