The UFC fans just saw Max Holloway knock the lights off Justin Gaethje at UFC 300. What’s special about it? It was a KO just before the clock ran out that had to be one of the most brutal knockouts ever. Well, it was brutal enough to get the attention of Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, who shared his reaction with the people.

The Chiefs QB took on X and had a 3-word message as the UFC 300 ended with a bang. What’s crazier is that just a few hours ago, Mahomes met Lionel Messi at Arrowhead Stadium and had a word with him. What a delight it might have been to watch two victories in one day!

The post came after a tough fight where both fighters were bleeding. Holloway taunted Gaethje, forced him to change his stance, mocked him, and left him in the dust. As the fight was over, Patrick Mahomes took to X and posted, “That was crazy!!!!!!!! #UFC300.” The win was something to be stunned about, indeed. The fight for BMF (Baddest Mother F*****) couldn’t have seen a crazy ending.

A lot had been building up before the fight that led to this moment. Though BMF is not a real title, Holloway (26-7) made the gimmick look real on all fronts. “I’m him! I’m him, guys!” said the UFC Featherweight Champion after pummeling Gaethje to the canvas. The term got traction in 2019 as Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz bumped fists.

Right before Gaethje was about to be knocked out, he was invited to the middle of the octagon, which almost felt like a mockery at one point. But the gesture incited the crowd as they began cheering and prayed for something exciting to happen. But coming back to Mahomes, it seems like he’s interested in a variety of sports and not just UFC. Before the fight, he was there at the Arrowhead Stadium to greet Lionel Messi.

The unexpected link-up of Messi and Mahomes

Patrick Mahomes went to watch the Inter Miami Vs. Sporting KC before the UFC fight. Though Inter Miami beat the Kansas team, Patrick Mahomes couldn’t miss the chance to say a few words to Lionel Messi. When the QB saw Messi, he said, “What’s up, man? Hey, good luck man! Have fun out there.”

Messi dapped Mahomes and said a few inaudible words, but we know that those words would be a gesture of goodwill. One notable thing about the game is that Arrowhead saw a crowd of more than 70k people who visited the stadium to watch this event unfold.

Hopefully, we get to see more off-court Mahomes before the season kicks off.
