In the wild scramble of family life, even the best quarterbacks need to call a timeout! Chiefs’ star QB Patrick Mahomes’ wife Brittany Mahomes recently faced a blitz of her own—Bronze demanding a TV show or else he’d hit the high notes with his screams. Battling her 18-month-old son’s tantrums felt like a fourth-quarter comeback attempt. As Brittany’s efforts to tackle this ‘bad habit’ hit a breaking point, she decided to call other ‘mamas’ and ‘professionals’ for backup. Now, she reveals to her audience how the suggestions have turned out.
On the morning of the 29th of July, Brittany uploaded an Instagram story saying that she appreciated all the recommendations she got regarding Bronze’s habit. She said, “A ton of you said that he’ll eat when he’s hungry and I’ve fought that battle and it doesn’t go well. He’ll just scream and then he’ll go for snacks. And then, he’ll want snacks and I just don’t have the heart to let him scream and throw fits. So, I end up giving him what he wants.” No matter how fed up she might be with her tiny tantrum machine’s antics, she’s still his mom through and through.
The playbook for parenting isn’t exactly the same as a Super Bowl strategy. No doubt Patrick and Brittany Mahomes both would agree to it now. In a story uploaded on the 28th of July, Brittany explained how Bronze developed this habit. She wrote, “We started letting him watch TV while eating just to keep him calm and avoid public meltdowns. He’s not the best eater and throws epic tantrums when it’s time to eat.”

Now back home, Brittany found herself in a full-on two-minute drill when her son Bronze developed a new habit during their family vacation. That’s why she sought help from her 2 million IG followers. She received a flood of tips and a few hit home!
Now, in her story, posted on the morning of the 29th, Brittany further shared that hearing from other parents who are “dealing with the same thing” was a game-changer. She appreciated the advice to “let it happen” and do what’s best for her own sanity. It was like getting a pep talk from the sidelines—lifting her spirits and easing that ‘mom guilt’.
On that note, she told her followers what she would be doing with her son’s newfound habit. “He’ll eat anything if he’s watching a show and him eating and getting what he needs is most important at this point in life. So, I will probably try to stick with it,” she admitted. Well, it’s no surprise—we’ve all been there. Earlier, it was trading food for a show. Then, it later became homework for game time.
It seems Bronze might be quick to catch, seeing his dad Patrick during the training camp, that he brought the two-minute drills home for Brittany.
