Being a celebrity mother is not that easy! Randi Mahomes, the proud mother of Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, has expressed her true feelings with her followers. Despite being the mother of a three-time Super Bowl champion, she is not always happy.

During the latest episode of the podcast “The Mom Game Podcast,” which premiered on June 21, 2024, she demonstrated her real envy of being a high-profile NFL star’s mom.

In the latest podcast, the host asked how she handled being the mother of an NFL star, facing media, social media, and all kinds of attention, and if it was daunting. The mother of three, Randi spoke up to disclose her feelings of envy towards friends with “normal” lives.

The matriarch of the Mahomes family replied, “Yeah when I look at some of my friends on social media or in different things, I’m jealous that they have this normal situation. Their kids are the same age as Patrick and Jackson, and we don’t. It’s super difficult. I can say we’re blessed, and Patrick’s living out his dream, and I want all of my kids to do that, but the attacks from different directions have been super overwhelming as a mother, as a friend of my kids, and just as a human. It’s hard.”

During the candid chat, Randi also unveiled the difficulties she has faced in the seven years since her NFL QB son rose to stardom with the Chiefs.

Randi discloses the ‘hardest seven years’ of her life

In the interview, Randi spoke about how the prominence of her three MVP-winning NFL star son has caused her enormous stress, frequently leading to tears. “As much as I say that we’re blessed and Patrick’s living his dream, it has been the hardest seven years of my adult life. It’s been really hard to juggle … I’ve cried a lot. I’ve struggled with it,” she stated.

Additionally, Randi disclosed how her son, the Chiefs’ QB popularity has influenced her profession as an event planner since he entered the NFL in 2017. She mentioned that many individuals try to reach her family members using her phone number and email.

Handling such situations has been challenging, as 90% of the phone calls and emails are not about work. However, she has been gradually accepting the new life. “I say it’s been the hardest seven years of learning a new life,” she remarked. She has positively embraced the challenges, with the motivation to find the right path that balances self-prioritization and professional commitments.
