Every time the Chiefs have visited the Bills’ home ground, the Bills Mafia has made sure it was anything but a pleasant trip. Now, the tables have turned, and the Bills are headed to Arrowhead. Will the fans be the difference-maker on Sunday? We’ll have to wait and see. But for now, we can’t stress enough how epic this game is going to be. It’s going to be hotter than a 2Pac track from the ’90s. As the game gets closer, the tension is rising. And speaking of the Bills, well, there’s someone on the Chiefs’ coaching staff who’s been talking about Josh Allen

Patrick Mahomes and Co. will do anything that gets them one step closer to securing their three-peat. Josh Allen will be a beast on the gridiron, making sure he wears those Super Bowl rings on his fingers this time). And Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo knows just how big of a threat Allen can be. Speaking to the media on Thursday, Steve admitted, “They’ve got an elite quarterback.” Coach Steve is well aware that it’s not going to be an easy job to stop Josh Allen and his O-Line on Sunday. (Yes, even after having the home-field advantage).

I wish I had a secret to that. Listen, in the course of the game, the best thing that can happen for us is that all 11 function as 11. Because he’s one of those guys, especially up front, if you’re talking about the four or five guys that we bring, they need to function as one because he finds one little scene,” said the Chiefs DC. What’s interesting here is that the only loss the Chiefs had this season was at the hands of the Bills. (Of course, we are not counting the last regular season game with the Broncos here).

“He (Josh Allen) sees everything. I watched him this morning. A defensive player, I forget who they were playing, looked like they may have put their leg out to trip the running back. And he immediately turned to the official. Like, he saw everything. I mean, he’s just – he’s like Patrick, right, that their vision is uncanny. And so I think he can sense and feel when there’s an opening there, and that’s what gets really challenging,” added Steve.

Anyway, while the Bills‘ QB gets ready for the big challenge, the NFL has excluded him from an honor this year.

The NFL ignored Josh Allen for the Offensive Player of the Year award

NFL recently dropped the full list of nominees for its annual awards, and while Josh Allen remains in the MVP race, he’s been snubbed from the Offensive Player of the Year list. Now, you might wonder how a guy with MVP potential gets left out of a category he could easily dominate. Well, the criteria for both awards are a bit different. MVP tends to favor the standout player on a team that’s winning big, and the Bills are looking good. On the other hand, the Offensive Player of the Year usually goes to the player with the most insane stats. This year, the list includes names like Lamar Jackson, Saquon Barkley, Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, and Derrick Henry.

What’s your perspective on:

Can Josh Allen prove the NFL wrong by leading the Bills to a Super Bowl victory?

Have an interesting take?

So why did they leave Allen out? Well, his numbers aren’t exactly jaw-dropping—he threw for 3,731 passing yards and 28 TDs, which is solid but not mind-blowing. Josh’s rushing yards were impressive, though, with 531 yards and 12 touchdowns. But compare that to Lamar Jackson, who had more passing yards and rushing yards, plus a league-leading 41 passing TDs. Jackson got the nod, while Allen’s stats, though solid, weren’t enough to land him the OPOTY nomination.

Or maybe the league’s just trying to avoid giving him both honors (you know, just in case the Bills take the Super Bowl and Josh ends up being the MVP too).
