Shots were fired. Yeah, we mean what Stephen A. Smith said post the Bills game surely made some headlines. And the reactions to that comment might’ve gotten to Smith. He was certainly upset with the reactions. And that’s why he was there again to ‘clarify’, we guess. It was specifically targeted towards the Bills’ QB Josh Allen.

Stephen A. Smith’s take on Josh Allen after that AFC Championship Game against the Chiefs. Stephen A. didn’t hold back, saying, “His crime is that he isn’t Patrick Mahomes. Man, he got all fired up and jumped out of his chair that night. We all were raising eyebrows at that time, weren’t we? But looks like he’s forgiven the QB now. He was recently talking about Allen when he said, “When it comes to going up against the Great that is Patrick Mahomes, we haven’t looked at Josh Allen and said he didn’t do his job. It’s something else that usually happens”. Smith was saying that he should’ve made that crucial pass. That’s fair on him, you know. They’re fans just like us. Some statements come out in a different manner due to sentiment. Of course, he was critical of the QB, but in a constructive way.

Smith was also talking about a wild moment in the game. It was Allen’s fourth-down leap over the scrimmage line to get a first down. It almost turned into a turnover, but he made it happen. This wasn’t his first showdown with the Chiefs in the AFC Championship, and unfortunately, he’s still chasing that win. Allen gave it his all in that AFC Championship Game against the Chiefs, but he just couldn’t seal the deal. He completed 22 of 34 passes, putting up 237 yards and throwing two touchdowns. Pretty solid, right? Plus, he rushed for 39 yards. But despite his efforts, the Bills came up short, losing 32-29.

New job for Allen

Any guesses on what could be his next venture? It’s Hollywood! Yep, even before his partner Hailee Steinfeld made it big, Allen already had caught the eyes of the entertainment industry folks. A studio insider told Life and Style mag, “Josh has the total package, from primetime worthy football highlights to matinee idol good looks, and Hailee has already managed to have a very impressive crossover career where she can effortlessly move from music to movies and back again.” Well, having Hailee in the same industry definitely helps Allen. See, you need connections to change these interests into deals and she’s got a heck of an experience.

What do you think, in which other NFL stars footsteps would he follow? Would he go down the route of Alex Karras, who did classic comedies like Blazing Saddles? Or let’s say in the route of Jim Brown who did movies like The Dirty Dozen and Any Given Sunday? But man, we would want to see him go in the path of Carl Weathers. That guy killed it as Apollo Creed in the Rocky series, then Predator and The Mandalorian. Quite a filmography right? We surely want to see Allen in that direction. The insider talked exactly about this.
