Can the Browns defy the odds and weather to upset the Steelers' winning streak?

The week 12 AFC battle between the  Pittsburgh Steelers and  Cleveland Browns is about to begin on Thursday. On one hand,  Russell Wilson‘s team Steelers is coming with 8 wins and 2 losses. However, Jameis Winston’s Browns had only 2 wins in 10 games played till week 11. Thus, it’s clear the Steelers have a strong record and are a more powerful team than the Browns this season.  But what about the weather conditions? Will it rain?

According to the NFL weather website,  a sudden rain may sweep away the fans’ aspirations for the Thursday game in Cleveland. As per the latest weather reports, there may be heavy rain showers. And, temperatures will be hovering around 37°F at kick-off.

The game, which is about to kick off at 8:15 p.m. EST  at Huntington Bank Field Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio, will have mostly cloudy weather. Cloud cover is expected to be approximately 87% for kickoff and second quarter. On the other hand, the weather may be more cloudy in the third and fourth quarters with 87 % cloud cover.  It is also expected that the gusts of wind speed will vary from 21 mph to 22 mph.

Besides this, the NFL’s amazing matchup weather forecast also indicates West wind from 13 to 21 mph. A 100 % rainfall probability is there, and it is seemingly close to the tornado. It is undoubtedly enough for disruption with a few long-range passes or field-goal attempts. Russell Wilson and Winston need to prepare for this.

In addition to this, temperatures may range from 36 degrees Fahrenheit in the start to 49 degrees Fahrenheit by the end of the fourth quarter.  Apart from that, there is a possibility of humidity as well, with 86 to 85 percent and about 68 % percent Prec. Prob.

So, all in all, the National Weather Service predicts mostly cloudy skies with 6 m of visibility at the kickoff time to zero visibility in Q3 and Q4 during the game.  As per the report, there is a very high chance of rain showers as it may be mostly cloudy with dew point from 33 °F to 34 °F.  Thus, the stadium may witness a slugfest in which every second counts, particularly when thunderstorms come.

The grass surface of Huntington Bank Field Stadium can hold about 81,000 visitors. Hence, seemingly Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston’s fans are enthusiastic about witnessing the intense game while rooting for their favorite teams. However, a possible rainstorm and washout certainly will impact the game.

Hence, this time, the Browns will try to win over the Steelers. And all eyes will be on Wilson and Winston’s strong rivalry.  Impressively, both quarterbacks are enjoying their NFL seasons. But it is no wonder that, Wilson has done enough to leave his impact on the field after returning from his calf injury.

The Steelers’ crucial win truly helped them to improve to 8-2 on the season. With this record, the Steelers have now flawlessly positioned themselves in the notable ranking in the AFC North. They are only 1.0 game behind the Kansas City Chiefs for the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
