Russell Wilson might not have won the Super Bowl this year, but he makes sure to win people’s hearts every year with his off-field work. The trade rumors are spinning like crazy for Russ, but the QB is not too worried about that currently. Wilson and his wife Ciara are making headlines for their other moves this offseason. Their philanthropic game is stronger than ever, and their big financial move this time has got everyone talking. So, what’s the scoop?

You all know Russell Wilson and Ciara -they’ve been that power couple who use their influence for good. Ever since they stepped into the limelight, they’ve made it a point to give back, and the best part? They were both on that path long before they even met. That’s the reason they are the favorite NFL couple -the same vision, and same heart for helping those in need.

Now, if you’re familiar with Russ’s Good Man Brand, you know it’s not just another fashion label. It’s a brand with a purpose, focused on men’s fashion while making an impact. And in his latest move, the Steelers QB has announced this year’s mission for the brand.

New year, same mission. 3% of every purchase, after product cost, goes straight to programs that empower marginalized youth through our partnership with @whynotyoufdn,” read Good Man Brand‘s latest IG post.

So that means every time you buy something from Russ’s brand, three percent of it goes to kids in need. Indirectly, you’re contributing to this big mission, too. This isn’t the first year Good Man Brand has decided to contribute a certain percentage to the community. This has been its mission since it was founded back in 2016.

Russell Wilson’s brand hit big numbers

Good Man Brand has been teaming up with the Why Not You Foundation for eight years, proudly contributing to social work. Russ’s Why Not You Foundation has been making an impact for more than a decade. The foundation focuses on “children’s health, fighting poverty, and empowering today’s youth to lead with a “Why Not You” attitude.”

What’s your perspective on:

Does Russell Wilson's philanthropy make him a better role model than his on-field performance?

Have an interesting take?

Russ’ brand has already contributed $1.18 million to this massive philanthropic effort. Woah! That’s a tremendous impact off the field. The funds have gone toward programs that provide resources, mentorship, and opportunities for underserved communities. Last week, Ciara had an emotional moment on the Today With Jenna & Friends talk show. The Body Party song alum was moved when the host invited a recipient of the Why Not You Foundation to share their story.

Tah-Jae Shante shared how the foundation made a difference in her life. The aspiring singer opened up about losing her father at a young age and how her mom always told her she could connect with him through music. Meeting Ciara reignited that passion in her. “Back in 2017, I had the incredible opportunity to meet Ciara and Russell Wilson, along with a few other students. From that moment, I was absolutely in love. Hearing Ciara’s story about how she got into music sparked something in me,” shared Tah-Jae.

Ciara’s been serving as a board director for the Why Not You Foundation since 2017. And since then, Russell Wilson and Ciara have been putting in the work to help the youth. And this year too, the motto remains the same.
