After being injured in the Week 4 against the Houston Texans, Pat Freiermuth re-aggravated his hamstring injury while preparing to come back. This pushed his comeback further, but after participating in full practice sessions, he is ready for Week 11. But the Steelers weren’t expecting that the fans wouldn’t take this news well.
One fan referred to his stats in the season, which have been abysmal for the four games that he did play.
He’s gotta be so pumped to catch two balls for 7 yards

Even though the Steelers have been consistent with a 6-3 record. Fans questioned the team’s playing style with the addition of TE.
They. Don’t. Throw. To. Tight. Ends.
— Vaughn Woodruff (@conkanen) November 18, 2023
The Steelers have employed more of a running game rather than the aerial route, so another fan pointed out the unnecessary addition.
Going to be pointless. They don’t throw to him anyway.

One fan even questioned the desire Freiermuth has to play defensively when the team requires it.
But will he actually run block??
— Bill Letrent (@BLetrent) November 18, 2023
Another fan chimed in with a lack of defensive responsibility with a funny quip.
Why bother. They don’t use him anyway.
Might as well just leave Mount Washington to block!— Fansville (@Fansville412) November 18, 2023
Despite fans’ ire, there’s no denying the fact that Pat Friermuth is returning for the week 11 clash. Whether this addition will be fruitful for the team will be answered in the Week 11 clash.
