If you’re a Broncos fan, last night’s game probably made up for all the losses this entire season so far. The Broncos, languishing at the bottom of the AFC West division, took on the mighty Kansas City Chiefs, who were at the top of the division. The Chiefs had only lost one game so far. Let’s be honest here, how many Broncos fans thought that their team would win?
But win they did. And it wasn’t a measly 1-point or 2-point win. They won 24-9, recording a 15-point victory margin. And the cherry on the cake? The Broncos defense did not let Mahomes and Co. score a single touchdown. This was a much-needed win, not just after a 2-5 performance going into Week 8, but because the Broncos had played 16 games against the Chiefs since 2015, and had lost each one of them. But even during this happy time, dark clouds are gathering for one player.

Team reporter, Sydney Jones, went around the locker room, getting the Broncos’ reaction right after their win. Jerry Jeudy, the team’s WR said, “As the Broncos country, knowing the history behind this game, I know it’s a special moment for them and I hope everybody enjoys it.” Truly a historic moment in the franchise’s history. Mahomes has owned the Broncos ever since he took over the reins of the Chiefs and beating must feel really great.
Jerry Jeudy also contributed to the team’s win by recording 50 yards and scoring a TD on an 11-yard pass from QB Russell Wilson. However, he hasn’t been performing according to Denver’s expectations. This was his first past TD of the season. Last season as well, he put up a mediocre performance, registering only 6 TDs.
With the Halloween deadline for trades just a day away, there have been rumors floating that the Broncos are looking to trade him away.

In an article for Pro Football Talk, Mike Florio wrote that the Broncos are looking to trade some of their players if the price is right. And of the players on the list is the 24-year-old wideout. It was exactly a year ago when the Dallas Cowboys were within hair’s breadth of signing Jeudy on their team from the Broncos. But that didn’t happen and now the rumors are saying that they might be interested again.
The Broncos’ first-round pick in 2020, he’s due to make $12.987 million next year. Denver is not getting a first-round pick from Dallas for Jeudy. But Conor Orr of Sports Illustrated said Dallas is willing to offer 2024 third and fourth-round picks for the wideout. We’ll just have to wait for a few more hours to see how it all pans out.
With his future hanging by a thread, back in the Broncos locker room, Jeudy won’t be all in during the celebration. In the back of his mind, he knows that in just a day, his teammates could possibly become his rivals.
