The weather may have been cold in Kansas City, but the Chiefs’ defense was on fire in Arrowhead. It held a TagovailoaHillMostert offense to 7 points and forced Mike McDaniel to go back to the drawing board once again.

However, things were a bit warmer on the home side. Patrick Mahomes‘ wife Brittany and brother Jackson thoroughly enjoyed the showdown in -4 degrees F and didn’t forget to upload a routine video selfie of themselves clad in winter outfits as they watched Mahomes and his squad take over the Wild Card Round.

The QB’s brother stayed next to Brittany at the VIP suite, who appeared in a custom handmade Mahomes jacket with the number 15 on it. The temperature was too low to be tackled by a regular jacket, and the designer earned her praise for her work on the clothing. Jackson shared a short clip of her holding him by the arm.

The influencer, on the other end, was in a heavy-brown jacket, and a hoodie beneath it to tackle the cold. He was also in his usual backward-cap fashion which matched the jacket’s tone. Interestingly, the Chiefs and Dolphins played the fourth-coldest game in NFL history on Saturday night. But Dolphins fans certainly left disappointed as the Red Army crushed Tua Tagovailoa and his squad succumbed to a miserable 26-7 defeat.

The Dolphins were utterly demolished for two reasons – The Mahomes-led offense and the Chiefs defense. Furthermore, Isiah Pacheco‘s 89 rushing yards with 1 touchdown and Rashee Rice‘s 130-yard, 1 TD game sealed the deal for the home side.

The defense on the other hand stuck to its duties. To make the team’s work easier, the leading pass defense held Tagovailoa to just 199 yards and also stole 1 interception, which was statistically the best QB of the season. Even Tyreek Hill couldn’t do anything for all his speed and 13 touchdowns.

The Dolphins have to wait for one more year to restart the progress altogether. They can only hope that another repetition of the successive heartbreaks isn’t on the cards.
