Benjamin posted a personal story that sheds new light on the Wilson family’s experiences. In the video, the Co-Founder & CEO of Limitless Minds revealed how his father regretted not being a successful man. He said, “And as clear as day, he turns to me and says, I just wish I had been a success. He said, I just wish I had been a success. This is, after all, these different things.”
The pain doesn’t end here! ” And he also knew that he was leaving so much behind unaccomplished, undone, right? A legacy, in his eyes, unfulfilled,” the Executive Producer and Co-host of “Think Like a Champion,” added. Harrison Wilson III was a standout Ivy League football player at Dartmouth College. He even tried out for the San Diego Chargers. Unfortunately, he was cut from the team, a setback that would stay with him forever.

Despite this snub, Harrison went on to lead a successful life. My dad was the second oldest. He’d go on to Dartmouth College and do really well. He was all Ivy League football player there, played football and baseball. My dad did, the CEO said. Since he studied at Procter & Gamble UVA Law School, Wilson III had a job waiting for him even after the failure.

However, life threw a curveball at him. Russell’s father battled complications from diabetes, including amputation of a leg, kidney issues, and strokes. Does it get any sadder? Well, in his final days, Harrison’s health declined significantly. While the player’s dad had a tough life, he lived with the burdens of shattered dreams and not as successful life as he wished for. However, Russell and Wilson IV are trying their best to live a legendary life worth remembering.

Russell Wilson never fails to express the influence his father has had in his life. While Wilson III had a positive impact on Russell and Wilson IV, he provided both emotional support and also taught them they are meant for greatness.
From a young age, the Super Bowl Champion’s father just asked him one question, “Why not you?” This question has shaped the entire life of the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year. His charitable foundation is also named after what his dad said: Why not you foundation.
