As Mike Evans failed to grab the ball, it got deflected and was intercepted by the Lions. Skip Bayless first expressed his affection for Evans but raised concerns regarding his contract and ensuing performance, “I love Mike Evans but you have to wonder if his heart and focus just aren’t in this bc Bucs wouldn’t give him the contract he wanted…. And had earned ($82.5m as a free agent)”

Although Evans had a great season in terms of performance, he is sliding down at the wrong time. Against the Eagles in the wild-card round, He fumbled the touchdown pass and Bayless pointed out the same further in his post, “Dropped a TD pass vs Philly.” Bayless came back to the mistake in the Divisional, “He didn’t get his hands up in time for a bullet from Baker that he tipped into an INT.”

The resulting drive ensued, and the Lions secured three points from the field goal. Evans’ failed attempt cost the Bucs a chance to secure the lead first. After the play, they were left to catch up in the whole first half. Is Evans losing steam at the wrong time?
