There’s one peculiar habit of Andy Reid that always stands out each season. He doesn’t reveal his true plans till the very end. It’s a guise that surprises most of the Chiefs’ rivals. This has also helped them to win back-to-back Super Bowls. This year it has been the same story. They were struggling with injuries. But the situation is reversing. Running back Isiah Pacheco and defensive end Charles Omenihu could return anytime.

The HC indicated so on November 20, Wednesday. While talking about them, the HC said, “Go through practice and see where they’re at this week and go from there. We’ll just have to see.” That’s great news for the Chiefdom. They need their best players as the season is moving forward to the playoffs stage.

Their $16 million star DE Charles Omenihu was also on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list since July this year. But he also showed progress. Since both of them did limited practice on Wednesday, there’s a wave of positivity in the Chiefs camp. He also had a strong one-word reaction to Andy Reid’s announcement that read, “Slime.” The Grim Reaper is also happy with the update.

I mean, listen, he’s a sparkplug emotionally. He’s something that way,” were Patrick Mahomes’s words while talking about Pacheco. The RB has missed the majority of this season since injuring his ankle in week 2 against the Bengals. A surgery was done later that stretched his rehab till week 12. But it’s all good now.

While the Chiefdom is happy about the return of these two, they are eager to watch the other players back as well. We got an update for you.

Andy Reid gives injury status of key WR

WR Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown also suffered a sternoclavicular injury in the preseason and underwent surgery after being placed on the injured reserve (IR) list in September. There were rumors that he was out of the entire season, but those might be wrong. Andy Reid was optimistic about WR’s return and claimed, “making very good progress.

Apart from hoping for their key players to return, they are still strongly doing one thing. Getting backups! As soon as the Patriots waived their WR Tyquan Thornton on November 16, the Chiefs were quick to sign him. The mindset is clear. Don’t stop, don’t quit. It will be seen on November 24 against the Panthers.

The loss against the Bills hasn’t deterred them in any way. Their main target, a 3-peat is still achievable. With the return of their key players, their performances might improve as well. It all depends on Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes. They are the leaders. It’s high time. They are still at the top of the AFC West with 9-1. But there are many more games to go. They can’t let confidence drop down.
