Can the Chiefs maintain their dominance with a $605,000 replacement for Rashee Rice?

The Chiefs are battling different things at once. The poor form of offense and the injuries to the players are the biggest issues. And the newest addition to the injured players is Rashee Rice. A collision with Patrick Mahomes. Boom! The WR had to be stretchered off the field. Rashee Rice’s season might have ended. In that scenario, the team was looking for other options. And they might have found one.

HC Andy Reid might bring in Amari Cooper to the roster to replace Rice. If they do that, they would have to take a cap hit of $605,000. Though he is a suitable alternative on paper, the only drawback is the highest number of drops in the league.

The suspected ACL injury has revealed that he might have to sit out the remaining season. For now, he has been ruled out of the week 5 game against the Saints. After SNF against Chargers, HC Andy Reid had said about Rice’s injury, “I feel terrible for Rashee. We will hope for the best.” Now, everyone is waiting for the MRI Scans.

The doctors have still not diagnosed him with a knee injury. This is a big jolt to the Chiefs. He was a central part of Andy Reid’s plan. In 4 games so far, the WR has made 24 receptions for 288 yards and 2 touchdowns. Even Mahomes wants his WR to get healthy soon.
