We are all set for the 2025 NFL Draft month. The hype is building up for the battle between the franchises, especially for quarterbacks. One college athlete whose name stands out in the 2025 draft class is Colorado Buffaloes QB Shedeur Sanders. Deion ‘Coach Prime’ Sanders‘ son was expected to be among the top 5 draft picks (overall). His draft stock now seems to be sliding. But there is one question that needs answers. Who will draft him?
The Titans pick 1st, followed by the Browns in 2nd and the Giants in 3rd place. All three teams could do with a signal caller. The NY Giants have shown interest in the player. Shedeur also confirmed it on Dov Kleiman’s video, in which he laughed when his friend teased him over whether he was going to the NFC East franchise. One friend even said, “Please man, (you can) go anywhere but not NFC East man.” The QB laughed along.
Oh Boy: Shedeur Sanders seems to confirm he’s going to be drafted by the Giants 👀

The timing of the video raises eyebrows. Colorado is preparing to host their Pro Day on Friday, the 4th of April. Kevin Stefanski, the Browns HC, has already announced their plans of taking Shedeur Sanders to a private dinner that day. He even praised the quarterback for his skills. Meanwhile, the Giants have signed Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston in just the past couple of weeks.
The Titans are also interested in Sanders, although not as warmly as the Browns or Giants. They could perhaps be convinced to exchange draft picks. It means that Giants or Browns would move up and draft Shedeur Sanders first overall. And the Titans could draft their rumored prime target, DE Abdul Carter. Things move fast in the National Football League.
These actions indicate only one end result. Things will keep changing until the draft happens. While one section is hyping up Shedeur Sanders, another one is busy finding his shortcomings.
Shedeur Sanders disrespected by NFL Analyst
The development came after the ESPN NFL analyst Tim Hasselbeck criticized the player. He even compared him to former Bengals QB Andy Dalton and said, “Look, he just is not as physically talented as you would like to see. I mean, it sounds crazy considering he’s Deion Sanders’ son. But, that’s just the case. My comp on Shedeur Sanders has kind of been in that like Andy Dalton range.”

For starters, Shedeur Sanders is way different from Andy Dalton. Let’s look at their college numbers. In 4 years for the TCU Horned Frogs, Dalton had a 42-8 record in 50 games (all started). He made 812 of 1,317 passes (61.7% completion rate) for 10,314 passing yards and 71 TDs with 30 interceptions.

Sanders played exceptionally well in 2 years with Jackson State (2021-2022) and Colorado (2023-2024). In those 4 seasons, he played 50 games (all started) with a 36-14 win-loss record. He made 1,263 of 1,803 passes (70.1% completion rate) for 14,327 passing yards and 134 TDs with 27 interceptions. So, there’s an obvious difference. But analysts have their own opinions.
On the one hand, the Giants have already handed contracts to Jameis Winston and Russell Wilson this offseason. On the other, analysts are questioning Shedeur Sanders’ arm strength and ‘attitude’ following his bold statements at the Combine. Could this be another Prime Time drama in the making? Regardless of where he ends up, the only way to win is perhaps by letting his arm do the talking.
