Additionally, many are emotional to witness the latest picture of Randi Mahomes holding her son’s glory in his absence.

Yes! Patrick Mahomes has won two high honorable awards at ESPYS on Thursday, July 11. He defeated Lamar Jackson, Christian McCaffrey, and Myles Garrett to bring “Best NFL Player” Award to home. Then again, he made his second consecutive earning by winning the prestigious “Best Athlete” in Men’s Sports award. His back-to-back wins have left momma Randi extremely proud!

Patrick Mahomes’ mother, Randi Mahomes, attended the ESPYS event with her daughter Mia Randall on July 11, 2024, at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, California. She shared a series of Instagram stories on Thursday, paying emotional tribute to her quarterback son. Among multiple stories, one story caught fans’ attention, which was shared from the event. In that particular story, a proud momma can be seen holding one of the 2024 ESPYS awards that Patrick won. She proudly wrote an emotional caption, while being the custodian of the trophy: “The Biggest Congratulations @Patrickmahomes So Well Deserved! I’ll Be Holding Onto This For You!

Randi’s eyes can tell how much she is proud and happy for her little Pat on this achievement. She attended the event wearing a gold & black shimmering dress with her hair down, as posed for a photo with her big smile. Besides this, in the previous story, Randi shared the Chiefs’ post which attributed Mahomes to winning “Best Male Athlete” award. Re-sharing the post, momma Randi wrote: “So So Proud. I Love You So Much Son @Patrickmahomes.

Meanwhile, it was not disclosed why Patrick Mahomes didn’t attend in person to receive the awards. However, it is speculated that he might be tired and busy with other commitments after a four-week vacation in Europe. He has already acknowledged his wins via social media and thanked Andy Reid for giving a stage speech on his behalf at the ESPYS.

And now about a month later, a compiled humorous video of their workouts is making a buzz among fans. The viral video features Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Chris Jones. In the video, Mahomes can be seen making a peculiar move in front of coach Andy Reid, who then shook his head, and walked away in disapproval. This incident was humorously captured by the franchise’s social media team, describing: “This is a special language only football players speak… and it’s beautiful.”

Mahomes found this video amusing and jokingly questioned Reid, “Why coach walk away like that!” And now, after some weeks of this incident, on July 11, Reid stepped up on behalf of Mahomes to collect his Best Male Athlete award at ESPYS. He not only just collected it, but the 66-year-old also gave a beautiful speech for his quarterback on the stage. He expressed, “Listen, I am honored to be here, to pick up this award for Patrick. I’ve been around this kid for two years now, and to watch him grow as a football player, as a teammate, as a leader has been phenomenal.” Reid also highlighted Mahomes’ development as a father and a husband, which Reid considered the most rewarding part of knowing him.
