Tyreek Hill delivered one of his noble gestures after the Panthers’ game. However, what the NFL did didn’t sit well with Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson. Recently, on their live podcast show, Sharpe and Johnson expressed their anger towards the NFL’s duplicity on Hill’s viral backflip celebration and the suspension of the videographer.

Last month, Sharpe and Hill got into an argument. Initially, Sharpe had praised Hill, calling him the “most dangerous weapon,” and the best receiver in the league. However, Hill didn’t appreciate it, and criticized Sharpe, saying it wasn’t how he viewed him two years ago when he was with the Chiefs. Now, in a recent incident involving a viral backflip video, Sharpe is supporting Hill and the suspended videographer, while expressing anger at the league.

The Carolina Panthers hosted the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, October 15 at Hard Rock Stadium, during the Week 6 game. The Dolphins won the matchup with an impressive score of 42-21. As it was the time of celebration, Tyreek Hill asked a cameraman for his phone to shoot a video of celebration. As a result, the videographer handed over his phone to Tyreek where the athlete made a video of himself doing a backflip. Seeing this, the NFL suspended Kevin Fitzgibbons, the videographer, most likely for the season, for jumping up and down in celebration with Hill. However, Hill, showing his noble gesture, offered to pay the salary of the Fitzgibbons.

Taking into consideration this matter, Chad Johnson said in the podcast, clarifying the celebration mood that “It’s always been about control.” He further talked about the NFL’s duplicity as “they pick and choose which rule they want to enforce” every season. And Johnson felt that “At this point it is ridiculous.” Shannon Sharpe added his version recalling the incident, and saying, “what do you expect the guy to do? The guy is 20 years old. Some NFL players… not just some. Tyreek Hill just took his phone, did a backflip, doin’ a selfie. You don’t think I am about to be excited? I’m a Dolphins fan.

Sharpe highlighted the fact that Fitzgibbons is a Phins fan, and what he did was out of excitement. Then Sharpe mentioned that in the NFL office, there are certain members who are team fans, and whenever their team does something good they celebrate. Later, Chad also talked about Tyreek being one of the most entertaining players in the league with his antics and his humor, and hence, he was out of control while celebrating the 42-21 win.
