For a long time now, Justin Fields has been trying to prove his worth to the Chicago Bears, but his labor hasn’t come to fruition yet. After setting a 7-9 record and being the last team in the NFC North, the Bears have a lot of reshuffling to do in their roster and soon, Justin Fields might not be a part of it. Or at least, Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson seem to think that way.

In the latest episode of Nightcap, the hosts discuss the possibility of Fields trading to another team and possibly going back to his hometown. However, following the discussion, some interesting things about this speculation arose, and the host addressed it well enough. Now that the Chicago Bears have the No. 1 draft pick, they might make some changes to the roster.

With the drafting season approaching, the Chicago Bears might be looking for a new talent and Justin Fields might not be it. After the win against the Atlanta Falcons, the fans have been singing praises of the 24-year-old quarterback and want him to stay with the Bears. But Unc thinks otherwise. With talent like Caleb Williams available for picking, the Bears have a choice to make. And per Unc, the Bears have not been able to gain Fields’ trust by not surrounding him with appropriate talent.

Moreover, Unc thinks that just because of this complication and with the 1 draft pick up for the grabs, Fields should move to Atlanta Falcons, considering how it’s home and how welcome he would be there. Chad Johnson agreed and said, “I like where your mind at.” The host called it a second coming of Michael Vick if Fields were to go to the Atlanta Falcons. Ocho had a picture in his mind that complimented the whole scenario.

Sharpe strongly suggested, “Atlanta be crazy not to give up a first-round pick to get Justin Fields.” He started daydreaming about Justin Fields playing along with the likes of Drake London, Bijan Robinson, and Kyle Pitts, which doesn’t seem all that bad. However, only time will tell if this trade will ever come to fruition. However, the game against the Falcons proved just how talented J Fields is.

On paper, Fields completed 20 out of 32 passes he made in the game with no picks and a single touchdown. He passed for 268 yards averaging 8.4 yards per completion. However, he was sacked thrice and some of his passes didn’t come into play. But this game made a strong case for Fields as a QB and showed why the teams like Carolina Panthers should pursue him.

The Bears are surely out of the playoffs this year. However, there is always time to mend things in the future and make reparations, which the Bears might have to ultimately do. The Bears will go against the Packers next week and at this point, winning or losing doesn’t matter for them.
