Recently RG3 appeared on the ‘Punch Line Podcast with Marlon’ and the hosts did not wait long to talk about the change in Jackson’s throwing action. RG3 provided much-needed insight into the process. The 34-year-old detailed the inclusion of Adam Dedeaux into their ranks since 2020.
“He’s not random, his name is Adam Dedeaux”, said RG3, giving the much-needed respect to the coach. And then went on to compare him with the legendary pop icon Shakira. “Yeah, so he is what I call he is the Shakira for quarterbacks”, said the former QB.
“Shakira, I believe she has a song that says the hips don’t lie. Yeah, right, so he’s always about activating the hips for the quarterback,” said RG3. He also talked about the success Jackson has enjoyed since linking up with Dedeaux. “They brought in the specialist to help Lamar become more technically sound and you’ve seen the change!”, added RG3.
However, Jackson isn’t the only QB to gain success from Dedeaux.
The ‘QB Whisperer’ helps out the ones in need
Adam Dedeaux is the grandson of legendary baseball coach Rod Dedeaux. His organization 3DQB is primarily focused on aiding baseball pitchers in their throwing. However, over several years, many QBs have also required his services.

Apart from Lamar Jackson, top QBs like the Philadelphia Eagles’ Jalen Hurts and the Dallas Cowboys’ Dak Prescott have also worked with Dedeaux. He also formerly worked with the Los Angeles Rams QB Carson Wentz. They too have made slight adjustments in their throwing actions over the years with the help of the ‘QB Whisperer’ as he’s known in the football community.
