Michigan Wolverines’s head coach, Jim Harbaugh, is in consideration for the Atlanta Falcons’ HC position. The Falcons won just seven games this regular season, prompting $7-billion-worth Arthur Blank to fire HC Arthur Smith. Since then, the hunt for a reliable head coach is on and the Falcons have completed interviews with seven contenders for the role.

After Jim Harbaugh made it public that he was available to take the role of HC for the NFL teams, there was a race among teams to get the legendary head coach by their side.

The Falcons have completed the first round of the interview process with Jim Harbaugh and shared the news by posting on X through their official handle. The Atlanta Falcons stated, “We have interviewed Michigan Head Coach Jim Harbaugh for our head coach opening.”

 

Well, this can bring good news for the Falcons’ camp as their team desperately needs better coaching. The final decision will rest upon the Falcons’ owner Arthur Blank. The Falcons are not sitting idle and have interviewed many other renowned coaching geniuses, including the pre-eminent coach Bill Belichick. Veteran Bill Belichick coached the Pats for 29 straight seasons and holds six Super Bowl wins. Take a look at the other personalities that have completed the first round of interviews.

The Atlanta Falcons are keeping their options open

Other than the renowned figures Bill Belichick and Jim Harbaugh, there are three defensive coordinators, one offensive coordinator, and an assistant head coach in contention for the Atlanta Falcons’ next head coach. Mike MacDonald of the Baltimore Ravens, Ejiro Evero of the Carolina Panthers, and Steve Wilks of the 49ers are the three defensive coordinators that the Falcons have interviewed.

Both Anthony Weaver, who is the assistant coach and the defensive line coach for the Ravens, and Brian Callahan, the offensive coordinator for the Bengals, have also been contacted. The choices are overwhelming, as they bring a distinct set of expertise to the foyer. Still, the decision will be taken soon and it will be interesting to see that owner Arthur Blank chooses whom.
