Sell the team…sell the team! Did you hear those chants after the Thursday Night Football? Well, these are the last few words for the Chicago Bears from the fans as 2024 is almost over. And you can’t blame them, honestly. The Bears entered the Soldier Field for one last time this season and what did the fans witness? Their 10th consecutive loss of the season against Geno Smith’s SeahawksMan, what a ride!

Now, all this considered, what the Bears crave is a solid O-line. But that’s another thing when your head coach seat is pretty much hanging in the air, isn’t it? Speak of the devil! It’s the Super Bowl-winning coach, Pete Carroll, who made a wish to join the Bears roster as HC. Given the QB, Smith, had played under his guidance, who could know better than him what kind of miracles Carroll brings out in the Bears’ locker room?

“As a special human being, he’s a believer. He’s the guy who’s always upbeat and he’s always gonna fight,” Smith responded when asked about the same rumors. “You know he has one way about him that I think we’re very much the same in their way then we just go there’s no stop. We just believe ourselves that Coach Carroll can help out any team, he can help out anybody.”

Well, as per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the former Seahawks’ head coach is all interested in returning to the sideline next season. “In recent weeks, Carroll has begun discussing a return in the NFL and now is interested in doing it,” Schefter reported. “He has not yet spoken with any teams yet, per sources, but he would welcome that chance.”

Well, besides the Bears, the New Orleans Saints and the New York Jets have an open slot for the head coach job and it would be interesting to see where Carroll will eventually land.

Can Pete Carroll really turn the Bears around, or is this team beyond saving?

Have an interesting take?

Caleb William’s sack problems after Geno Smith’s Seahawks crushed the Bears?

When the Bears drafted Williams in the first overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft, they knew what they were doing. But, alas, the rookie QB is kinda clueless on the line of scrimmage. And his embarrassing sack stats justify his problems on the field despite a notable rookie season. Now, here this out: rookie Jayden Daniels of the Commanders with 38 sacks and Drake Maye of the Patriots with 29 sacks hold the second and third spots respectively for the most sacked rookies this season.

Well, I know that you know who sits with the crown here. But, here’s the kicker. Williams has been sacked for 67 times, with one game still left. Well, it would not be wrong to say that it’s far more embarrassing for the Bears that invested in the young talent. Not to mention the Thursday Night when the Seattle team had sacked him for 7 times.

Rookies apart, the QB is leading the NFL in sacks so far and is ahead of CJ Stroud with 52. Well, if we’re talking of the matter, then let’s not forget that Geno Smith is sitting at third with 48 sacks taken. Now, the talk of the town is that the Bears are demanding a new head coach and Williams is demanding a better O-line. Let’s see what the 2025 season has on card for them.
