“Listen, I want this job. I interviewed for a number of them, but I wanted this job.” Aaron Glenn is finally happy to be back in Gotham Green. After the 2024 season quickly ended for the New York Jets, owner Woody Johnson didn’t waste time to hunt for a new HC. With Glenn’s arrival, he will now take a deep look at the franchise’s roster decisions, quarterback options, and the team’s culture. So, as the newly hired head coach is excited about the opportunity, how is Aaron Rodgers’s team feeling on his arrival?

On Friday, Jets corner Sauce Gardner talked about his recent meeting with Aaron Glenn and his new coaches. During his appearance at the Madden Bowl party in New Orleans, Gardner expressed his excitement for the upcoming season. The CB revealed his recent visit to the team’s facility. He met with the coaching staff, including coach Chris Harris, Aaron Glenn, and Steve Wilks.

Aren’t you interested to know what was the conversation between them? And how did he feel after meeting Aaron Glen? During the interview, a reporter asked that question. To which, Garner answered, “AG (Aaron Glenn), just his leadership, his master plan. I feel like he’s putting us in the right place because ain’t no such thing as a superhero, he’s not just gonna change it all himself, we gotta do our part. So I feel like he’s putting us in the right position to do that, so yeah.” That’s the reality. To change things in the upcoming season, all need to do their jobs well.

That’s a good sign. Looks like Gardner and his teammates believe in the new head coach’s abilities. They know the coach has a solid plan to put the team in the right position to succeed. However, as the CB said, there’s no superhero who can fix everything alone. Similarly, Glenn will need his, Aaron Rodgers’s, and the entire Gang Green’s support. But for his part, he’s ready to get out on the field and make it happen.

Apart from this, the 24-year-old also added that spending time with Wilks stood out the most for him. That’s because they discussed defensive schemes, which Gardner really liked. So, now, he believes the rest of the team will feel the same way. But the question is: Will Aaron Rodgers feel the same way just like Sauce Gardner or others in the team?

We all know that Aaron Rodgers’s 2024 season didn’t go as expected. His team not only failed to make a playoff berth, they also arguably lost their reputation with just 5 wins and 12 big losses. In the offseason, A-Rod promised that his team would be a team in the season that everyone would look for. But in reality, perhaps even the Jets’s nation would not want to look back at what happened last year.

Due to this, even Rodgers later admitted that “he is at the last couple of holes” of his NFL career. Nevertheless, he still believes that at the age of 41, he can guide his team to the much-awaited Super Bowl after 56 years. Hence, he is now expected to have a meeting with the franchise’s new management to talk about his and the team’s future. As Aaron Rodgers mentioned, “I’ve talked with the Jets, we’ll figure things out when we figure them out.

This means Rodgers might not leave the Jets if the “meeting” takes place in favor of him. It is a wait-and-watch situation for the Gang Green.
