Jalen Hurts‘ remarkable comeback, the Eagles‘ number-one defense, and Saquon Barkley’s electrifying performance thrashed the injury-ridden Packers on Sunday’s wild-card round. Cheers to the star wide receiver of the Eagles who didn’t go for the rushing record last week and ended his wild card round with a 22-10 decisive win over the Green Bay. With that kind of performance, no wonder Barkley deserves a special honor from the legend, Tom Brady.

Well, it seems that Barkley’s performance in the wild-card round indeed made Brady say let’s fu—ng go! And why wouldn’t it? Though the RB didn’t find the end zone, he rushed for 119 yards with 25 carries with 4.5 carries per yard. That turned out to be a vital gameplay in the Eagles win given the team’s only recorded 121 total passing yards. With that gameplay, Barkley was awarded with Tom Brady’s LFG Player of the Game.

However, when Barkley met Brady, the GOAT of the game, he didn’t want to talk about his 119-yard outing. In fact, Brady was more interested in his rushing record. “I want to go back to the last week,” Brady stated. The decision to not go for the rushing record. I mean it’s a team sport, these games are so important. Was that a tough decision for you?”

Obviously, the fans wanted him to go for the season rushing record but turns out it wasn’t just the fans at all. “No. I mean, it’s kind of made easier on me,” Barkley answered. “Coach made the decision for me. Obviously, I wanted to go for it. The team wanted to go for it. But at the end of the day, the most important thing is, you know, advancing and playing all football games.”

Well, there’s no wonder that Barkley had a chance to go for the record. However, the running back cares for the team more than his own personal record as he, along with the head coach, decided on the benching situation for week 18. And here we are. Rushing over 100-yards in the wild-card game, Barkley yet again provided why the Eagles’ O-line is on the right path. Not to mention his solid decision-making to slide down 17 yards to run-out the clock as the Packers were out of timeouts.

Speaking of which, Brady was totally impressed with Barkley’s last minute slide to seal the victory. “Yeah, you guys have a great run scheme and that’s set up the last run of the game where you slid….Hopefully, we’re back here to see you play. Congratulations. Great game, great season, keep it up,” Brady opined.

And guess what? The running back was starstruck with Brady’s GOAT status as he said, “Thank you. You’re the GOAT for real. You already know that, much love,” Barkley said. Brady’s response? “Love you man, great job.” Well, honestly, Saquon Barkley’s gonna remember this for years to come.

The excitement for the wild card round between the Eagles and the Packers was already at its peak. And to double the thrill, the CBS announced that Tom Brady, assisted by Erin Andrews, will announce the game. Talk about cherry on the top. But hey, it turned out to be a much-more memorable game for Brady. Well, what happened, you wonder?

During the first quarter of the game, the Eagles had a 10-0 lead over the Packers despite a powerful performance from the running back, Josh Jacobs. And for sure, Brady and his colleagues noticed his gameplay on the gridiron. However, the seven-time Super Bowl champion accidentally called out the RB’s name wrong. “The energy that Brandon Jacobs — excuse me, Josh Jacobs — is playing with,” Brady said.

Well, it wasn’t the first time that Brady fumbled with a player’s name this season. Remember that week 16 game between the Ravens and the Steelers? During the game, Brady called out Najee Harris‘ last name as ‘Davenport’. Though fumbling a player’s name in the NFL is nothing new. No doubt that all broadcasters make mistakes and even the best of the best can fumble sometimes. However, doing it for once was fine for Brady, but this time the fans didn’t spare him as they lashed him out on social media.
