The 2X Pro Bowler posted on X (previously Twitter), thanking the fans for their support over the years. However, he wanted them to understand his choice to join the rivals. “Ultimately, the NFL is a business, and I hope that everyone can respect my decision.”

It is this last line that had the fans divided. And they let the 27-year-old know about their feelings. As one fan wrote, “Nah bro don’t diss us today and then thank us for ur time.”

But fans also talked about his service to the team. And the impact he has had on the entire fanbase. “A lot of little Giants fans looked up to you, including my own. Thanks for setting a great example. We’ll always be Saquon fans.”

One Giants fan talked about the apologetic nature of the post. And he wrote “You don’t owe us anything. Will still support you just not against the giants.”

However, many of the fans did not agree with these sentiments. As one Giants supporter wrote. “nah we good man, you showed your true colors right away.”

One fan even went ahead and referred to Barkley as the villain for the fanbase and the franchise. “thank you for the post but u sold out ur a villain here now.”
