Antonio Brown comparing Saquon Barkley to Diddy—genius or just plain ridiculous?

Cometh the hour, cometh the man; these are the words that will be used to define Saquon Barkley’s performance against the Saints. As the Eagles narrowly came away with a victory in New Orleans, he was the player that stood out the most among all. His two sensational touchdowns allowed the Eagles to win 15-12 on Sunday, thereby confirming their second win of the season.

Coming into New Orleans, most of us thought that the Eagles might not have the firepower to get past the high-flying Saints side. But they did defy the expectations by coming away with a victory away from home. Well, seeing Barkley’s talents on the day, even former Eagles WR Antonio Brown jumped into the wagon to heap praise on the Eagles’ RB. “Saquon Barkley playing MVP football right now. More slippery than a Diddy party.”

“Diddy party,” Are you sure Brown that’s the thing you will compare Barkley’s football execution with? But who can blame him? As Brown is already infamous for his X jokes that seemingly instigate people online. Considering his reference to Diddy, this is not the first time he has mocked the American Rapper.

Going back a few days, Brown posted a photo with a sign that had “Live, Laugh, Lube” written over it. Brown used that photo while captioning it with “Diddy’s favorite sign.” However, such antics could come as a little harsh, considering the serious allegations Diddy is facing right now.

His alleged crimes included blackmail, coercion, acts of violence, racketeering conspiracy, and s** trafficking. As he awaits his trial, that could lead him toward a lengthy period behind bars. This might not have been the right time to mock Diddy while he tries to clear out his name from those allegations. But taking nothing away from Barkley, he was sensational, to say the least, considering what he went through last time out.

Saquon Barkley’s heroics offer the Eagles their second win of the season

Have an interesting take?

The Eagles RB was having a field day in New Orleans after his horror show in Philadelphia last weekend. His subsequent drop in the final moments of the game helped the Raiders stage a comeback, thereby coming away with a win against the Eagles. However, this time, Barkley ensured he didn’t let such things tarnish his talents on the pitch.

With 1:01 left on the clock, Barkley scored his second touchdown that put the Eagles into the driving seat, thereby allowing them to win their second game of the season. His two fourth-quarter TDs, one for 65 yards and 4 yards, helped the Eagles score a narrow victory over the Saints. Among those two TDs, his shorter one at the end of the fourth quarter found Dallas Goedert, whose run helped the RB record his career-high 170 yards on 10 receptions.

Elsewhere, it was Eagles safety Reed Blankenship whose interception against a Derek Carr pass in the closing minutes confirmed the win for the Eagles. This was a huge win for the Eagles side against a team that scored 91 points before coming into this clash. Well, this win surely bails out Nick Sirriani, whose decisions on the day seemed questionable to many.

But taking nothing away from the Eagles, they did manage to squeeze out a victory courtesy of the former Giants RB heroics in late quarters. Will they be able to continue on this massive win for the remainder of this season? Or will it be the Saints who come back stronger after losing their key OL, Eric McCoy, to an injury early into the match? Only time will tell as we wait for next week’s NFL action.
