The Minnesota Vikings pulled off a clutch 27-25 win over the Green Bay Packers, punching their ticket to the divisional title. It wasn’t easy, but it set up an epic showdown in Week 18 against the Detroit Lions. The game was intense, but what went down in the locker room? Pure chaos. Let’s just say, one Vikings player had a moment that he’ll never forget.

As the locker room erupted with excitement after the game, Sam Darnold admitted he blacked out when his teammates grabbed him and lifted him up in celebration. “I think I blacked out when [players] grabbed me and lifted me up. I didn’t know what to do with my hands in that situation, Ricky Bobby-style,” Darnold said, cracking jokes about the whole thing. Was it adrenaline, or was he just totally wiped out from the game?

Either way, he found himself caught in the whirlwind of his teammates’ hype, soaking in the love after such a high-pressure win. Like, he is literally the Lucky Charm of Vikings. It was his first season with the Vikings, but he took them to 9 win streak!! If he isn’t the lucky charm of Vikings, I don’t know who is. There are some moments in the game that stood out the most.

Sam Darnold was definitely the guy who made it all happen when the pressure was on. As the Packers closed a 17-point gap to just two, the Vikings needed Darnold’s precision passing to keep things moving. In the final moments, he completed four passes for 46 yards, including a perfect 6-yard floater to Cam Akers on third-and-2 to seal the win. The moment was wild, especially since the Vikings didn’t just sit back and run down the clock—they kept their foot on the gas. Oh, and Darnold got named Tom Brady’s #LFG Player of the Game for his performance. Big respect!

With just one game left in the regular season, the Vikings are locked in for a must-win Week 18 showdown against the Detroit Lions. The stakes couldn’t be higher. A win would grab them the NFC North title AND secure the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs. It’s all on the line, and with Sam Darnold leading the charge, the Vikings are ready to take it all. But they have some concerns going into the next game and the post-season.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Sam Darnold the Vikings' true lucky charm, or just riding a wave of good fortune?

Have an interesting take?

The Vikings’ win over the Packers was fire, but it wasn’t without some L’s. A few key players went down. RB Aaron Jones dealt with a quad contusion during the game. While Jones managed to push through for a few solid runs, the team decided to take him out as a precaution. Pat Jones also suffered a right knee injury and hence is expected “to miss a little bit of time.” These injuries could throw a wrench in their plans for Week 18 against the Detroit Lions. They’re gonna need all their starters if they want to secure that dub.

There’s still no word on the injured players, so it’s hard to tell who’s gonna be good to go next week. The Skols are probably low-key stressing, waiting for updates. Losing any of these guys would make things tough in the Detroit game. But we’ve seen this squad come through in clutch situations before.

With everything on the line. All eyes are on the injured players and whether they will be able to step up for Week 18. No matter who’s in or out, the Vikes squad isn’t backing down. They’re ready to fight for that NFC North title and the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs.
